Ive been ragebaited/rankings
So, earlier tonight (yes, tonight, its almost 1 am right now.) I was on YouTube, when I came across a video of a guy who makes F1 videos ranking Lovejoy songs (those two things dont slot together). And, long story short, his rankings SUCKED (he put The Fall almost dead last), and I gave been a Lovejoy fan since around the time Wake Up and its Over's been out. Im not saying that makes me more qualified to give a decent rating, but heres my top fifteen
At 15, weve got: Concrete. The intro was nice, and then it lost my focus.
At 14, Cause for Conc- kiding, its Scum. This one kept my attention the whole way through, thats pretty much it tho.
At 13, You'll Understand When You're Older. I dont even know whats going on here tbh.
At 12, It's Golden Hour Somewhere. This one seemed a bit unnecessary, but it sounds nice.
At 11, I'll Look Good When I'm Sober. A lack of advertising until the music video, plus Wilbur's complete disappearance made for a good but slightly disappointing song.
At 10, Cause for Concern (for real now). This one was ok, good for a debut effort though.
At 9, Foxholes (Fox Holes, whatever). This one was still good, just, not a whole lot.
At 8, Deathbox. I considered putting this one around 12, but its grown on me a bit.
At 7, Perfect Blue. The music video is what sold this song to me, id lole for Wilbur's dance around the 2:34 (I think) mark to be called the Wilbur Wiggle.
At 6, Sex Sells. this one sounds really nice. (No other comment)
At 5, The Fall. This one sounds really *deep* (never used that word in this context, it feels weird), and I like hearing people scream.
At 4, Monochrome. This one is amazing, I cant stress that enough, just the fact that it switches from one song to another entirely about a minute through lowers its rating.
At 3, Scoundrels. I think this one is just good, everything about it rubs me the right way (get your mind out of the gutter). Also, that breakdown bit just slaps.
At 2, White Shark Cafe. Everything about this one rubs me even better than Scoundrels. Also, when you have over-ear headphones and you turn mono audio off the intro is deadass the best part of the album.
Alright, now for number one, my favorite
At 1, Portrait of a Blank Slate. This one, I cant really put in words of how much I enjoy this perpetually more each listen other than 'big percussion'.
