Why the “All Lives Matter” Movement could have been better received
The “Black Lives Matter” Movement is one that took the world by storm after the horrid incident of George Floyd in June of 2020. This movement was in hopes to bring the community together and finally put an end to racist tactics that have lingered in our country for far too long. In rejection of the “Black Lives Matter” Movement a new movement entitled, “All Lives Matter” came about. Though the statement of the movement is not untrue the basis of which it was created is what caused the corruption of this movement. The movement had a chance to stand with the “Black Lives Matter” activists and empower them yet instead it was created to stand against them. It can be assumed that if it was in fact created to stand with the BLM movement it could have brought our country closer rather than creating a larger rift than there already was.
