The Anxious Dater

I'm anxious because this new guy I've been seeing (where its been barely 2 months and its now official, too soon?! I guess that's up to me to figure out) asked me to hang out on Friday and one day this week.

As something to do during the week I suggested we check out this cool restaurant on Wednesday then hit up a cool games bar after.. Then after thinking about it, I realize that given his freelance contract with his client is up soon and I just started investing in a business coach, neither of us are really flush with that kinda cash right now. So I will somehow how to retract my offer of this fun night and think of something else a tad more lower key.

Then he asked to hang out on Friday and without thinking I just said yes... regrettably. Fridays are my night! After a long week of people, hanging out with someone isn't what I want to do, I just want to be alone. Don't get me wrong, I love hanging out with him but nothing is the same as that time alone to recharge no matter how comfortable I am with him.

I also chat with my therapist Saturday mornings so then after that is when I typically go to his place.

So even though I said yes, I will have to lightly let him down on Friday and do a Saturday thing.

I also hate how much we drink when we're together. It's not something I'm big on and it may just be a winter thing but we had 2 bottles of wine and 1 cocktail all just on Saturday.. that is not typically what I do.

As per usual, this comes down to boundaries and speaking up. things to speak up on this week:

adjusting our plans to a cheaper option on Wednesday

Going over Saturday instead of Friday to hang

Suggest we do something other than drinking or don't drink as much

What kind of man would I be knowing I got daughter’s and knowing a MF is a child molester, other MF’s are predator’s. There are some sick people out here and we say nothing. Worst thing is, most of us will feel comfortable with these people around because they are family or married into the family. This isn’t ok.
