Introductory blog!
Some of you might be unaware of what the meaning of mental health is, so I'll explain it briefly in simple terms-
What is mental health?
Mental health is the overall wellness of how you think, behave, and manage your feelings. A mental health condition may be present when patterns or changes in thinking, feeling, or behaving cause problems or interrupt a person's ability to do daily tasks.
Why is taking care of our mental health so essential?
Taking care of our mental health is of extreme importance, as our mental wellbeing defines our abilities to perform daily (even minor/simple) tasks (example – maintaining hygiene). It also determines the patterns of our mannerisms in social situations, maintaining relationships, how we perform in work/school, learn in a way that fits your age and ability, as well as how we cope/deal with stressful situations. When our mental health is poor, the proper flow of these activities becomes disrupted.
How can we take care of our overall mental well-being?
Here are simple steps you can initiate to improve your mental health (researched and explained)-
1 . Be open minded to new experiences.
2. Plan things to look forward to.
3. Learn to understand/be in touch with your emotions & manage your feelings.
4. Talk to someone you trust for support.
5. Be aware of using drugs and/or alcohol to cope with difficult feelings.
And in the end, always remember:
