Gambit took a seat in front of the bartender as he entered the bar. His red iris rising to meet the man’s gaze as he mentioned his name. It seemed his reputation proceeded him. Though given his track record, it was hard to tell if that was a good thing or a bad thing. “Is that so? And just what chu need from me mon ami?”

Logan cocked his head, clearly unimpressed by Gambit’s speech. He let out a scoff as he lit up a fresh cigar. “Nothing’s ever simple when it comes t you, Cajun.”
The Cajun met wolverine’s gaze with a cocked eyebrow and a small smirk. “Would you have it any other way Wolverine? Life’s no fun without a little excitement every now and then.”

A small sigh passed through his lips as his hand began rummaging through the pockets of his trench coat. “Tell you what....” With a smile, he pulled out a small playing card, queen of hearts to be exact. “You give me a lil’ more information, and I’ll show you a lil’ magic trick. What chu say to that?”

“Oh I know! But one can’t help but WONDER why a stranger would ask a RANDOM woman on the street’s that question. MAYBE it’s not a weapon at all?”
“I don’t know about that. I come across a lot of things in my life petite, and I don’t think those things are gonna pass for regular bracelets.”
So in other words he needed her to retrieve this so called item for him and his client..what else was new? Every single corner she turned was someone asking her a favor left and right but being a ‘hero’ was always something she couldn’t possibly get her head around, she couldn’t call herself a hero but according to her team and other people she encountered she was profoundly notified as someone whose always lended a helping hand whether she liked it or not. She sighed removing her hood and looked to him straight in the face.
[[ ✡ ]] “As in you need someone which is me, to help you fetch some kind of item that is heavily guarded by a darkened barrier known as a cursed tome..question is why do you need me? Because I know more of the dark arts than anyone else?”
“I guess you could say that.”
The cajun thief closed his eyes as he took a few steps away from her, only to stop and tilt his head toward the sky. “Gambit may be a pretty good thief, but even he know when a job may be too much for him.” Turning back, his red iris made contact with her gaze. “So what do you say petite? Welling to help out a mangy old swamp rat?”
“My mutant powers do that already as it is.” Says the girl who transmuted a trash can into an aluminum sword. It may be a crappy sword but she made it. “Who else could I attract? Really.”
Transmutation huh? Seemed like an interesting ability to have. Gambit flashed a smirk as he placed his hands in the pockets of his coat. “Well now, that all depends on who sees ya.”
All night long, Wolverine managed to ignore that familiar scent, but it was pointless to think he could avoid the man known as Gambit, forever. “An if yer not careful ya just might attract six angry andamantium claws t yer poker face, pretty boy.”, he grumbled lowly as he turned to look at the Cajun. “Whatta ya doin out here, Gumbo? Pickin pockets?”
The cajun couldn’t help but chuckle in response to the mutant’s threat. He’s seen the end of those claws more times than he would like to admit, so it was nothing new.
“What? a man can’t go for a simple stroll without being questioned? Always got to assume to worst in me eh mon ami?”
“All th times I’ve saved yer ass, Cajun. Ya owe me th favor. Just be yer normal, distractin, skirt chasin, pocket pickin self, an I won’t have t punch anyone.”
“You make it sound so simple wolverine, but ya never know what fate has planned. This thing may go off without a hitch, or it could head south the moment we walk in.”
