@king-ron-weasley
Did you really think I would be gone for good?
No, but I was hoping.
[Lavender rubs a soothing hand on Ron’s back and gives him a smile] You aren’t going to stink again, Ron. You’ve never really stunk, just had gotten nervous. But people don’t call you King Ron Weasley because you stink. You are bloody brilliant, Ron, and everyone will be reminded so today.
[Ron smiles back at her, shoveling him a bit more food into his mouth.] Thanks, Lav. Really. Only reason I think I've managed to be as good as I have been is coz I've got you in the stands cheering for me.
[Lavender rolls her eyes at Ron’s insensitivity, which seems to grow when his nerves are high. "Right well I wasn’t the Lavender who gained a hundred pounds after having a fight with you," is what she wants to say but she instead holds her tongue because she doesn’t want to further upset him. She dutifully puts the food onto his plate and refills it with bacon and kippers as well.] I think you are confusing me with another Lavender, love.
[Ron glanced over at her quickly, before wiping his mouth on his sleeve and leaning over to give her a quick kiss on the cheek.] You're right, sorry. 'm just nervous. It's been awhile since we've played a game and 'm worried that I'll stink again.
Ron: A flash of red hair cuts through the air, and no it's not one of your own clones, it's your sister Ginny. She's flying in a zig zag pattern, making it difficult for you to judge which hoop she'll aim for. Answer this by Sunday, 8:30 am EST and you choose correctly, earning your team 15 points. But if not then you chose wrong and let your own baby sister get the best of you.
Ron’s eyes narrowed as he watched his sister closely, having spent years playing with her and studying her flying patterns. It was hard to tell what hoop he needed to defend, muscles tensing in anticipation of having to make a quick decision. At the last second, his sister’s body turned slightly before she released the quaffle, exposing where she was aiming just in time for Ron to lunge for the right hoop, smacking the red ball down inches away from the metal rim. It was close, but he’d managed to save it.
Ron,
Would you like one egg or two? [Lavender is piling food onto her boyfriend’s plate to make sure he has more than enough energy for this match. She isn’t sure how long it will last and doesn’t want him to get tired]
Three, please. 'm bloody starving and 'm nervous and I want to eat through my feelings - I think you've rubbed off on me, Lav.
You're acting odd.
[She smiles brightly at his praise] I am brilliant, aren’t I. [Lavender leans in to kiss him back]
We have a few good options. Next Hogsmeade trip we can go to the owl office and send out a few letters. And then we can celebrate our journey into adulthood with a drink at the Three Broomsticks. Do you think now that you’re of age they’ll serve you firewhiskey? Just for celebratory purposes, of course.
That sounds like a good idea. - When is the next trip, anyway? Figure I owe you a proper date, don't I? And I dunno if Rosmerta would serve me firewhiskey, but we might be able to go to the Hog's Head and get some.
You're acting odd.
That could work. Or maybe something a little more you, since you aren’t as into classes as he is. Like you want to know if you enchant quaffles to fly at you for practice will break any laws or attract any attention from the Magical Law Enforcement Squad.
I’m sure to owl post office in Hogsmeade is well versed on it so they can make sure it gets there without any suspicion.
That's actually a brilliant idea, Lav. You're so smart, y'know that? I should write that one down. [With a smile, he leans over to kiss her soundly.] Absolutely brilliant. I've got such a smart girlfriend.
You're acting odd.
Alright then, showers are still on. [She moves back up to kiss the pout off his face] And he can help. I just think that you should be involved so he doesn’t start wondering why you even need to look into it.
Oh ok thank you. That’s a weird system…but to each their own. As long as they can make sure our letter gets there.
Don't worry, I'll be as subtle as possible when I ask him for help. Say 'm trying to keep classes going outside of school and wanna make sure it's alright to do it and we can't get traced because of our location. Or something. I dunno. I'll figure it out.
Yeah, I don't really get it, but I guess if you don't have an owl you can't give it a sickle or two in payment.
You're acting odd.
Well you make it all look effortless, especially the eating bit. But I do appreciate all the work you put into satisfying me and you should know it’s a job well done. [Lavender is still glowing from their previous activities and pulls herself closer to Ron. Her lips move from his to trail off his face and to his neck.] I still think you can find time in your schedule to look into that though. I’ll even free up some of your time by showering on my own. That should give you at least an extra forty minutes in your day.
Yeah we should make sure to do that. Now don’t look at me funny, but what are stamps?
But I don't want to shower alone. [He pouts, sticking out his lower lip at her.] That's one of my favourite parts of the day! Fine, fine, I'll put some time aside to look into it. Still don't see how it'd hurt to have the smart Ron help out though. He'd probably be bored enough to do it.
Oh, stamps? I don't really get wot they're supposed to do, but they're these little pictures that you stick on envelopes when you send them in Muggle mail and it's supposed to make them get their or something.
You're acting odd.
Oh and you can’t look into it because you’re just so busy? Your days consist of eating, playing quidditch, eating, shagging me, eating, playing chess, eating, and then more shagging. Such a tough life.
[She grins at him so he knows she’s only teasing and then gives him a kiss for good measure] That one is nicer. Maybe we could send letters to a few of the ones we like to see if they’ll send us some pictures back. I think the owl post in Hogsmeade knows how to get letters to the muggle postman. And then when we find the one we can look in the papers there for jobs.
That's a really busy schedule, Lav! Especially with all the shagging, I've gotta devote a lot of time and energy to that. And the eating is to keep up my energy for the shagging, that's very important. I have to work really hard to keep you satisfied, y'know. [He smirks at her in return, making sure the kiss was good and sound.] We just have to make sure not to put too many stamps on it. Harry's uncle got really mad at us for doing that last time we sent something through the Muggle post office. Said it drew too much attention to it.
First, he didn’t trick me. I know he has feelings for me—why else would he? Second, Ronald, I’ve only shagged him and it hurt so I don’t plan to for quite a while. Maybe oral but nothing else and—and, Ron do you hear what you are saying? Are you allowed to be jealous, or would be jealous if you weren’t with Lavender but I’m not allowed to be now?
Just please give me a chance. I didn’t have many friends before and I don’t think I have any genuine friends now.
He doesn't have feelings for you. He doesn't do feelings. You can ask Lav about that - she tried to date him for years and he wouldn't. Only person he really had feelings for is his dead boyfriend, so good job losing it to someone who's mourning and doesn't really give a fuck who he's shagging. And it doesn't hurt if someone does it right, not that you'd know. Anyway - you can be jealous of Lavender all you want. Wotever.
You're acting odd.
You should look it up because I’m pretty sure we’ll be fine since we’ll both be of age. [Lavender quickly reads through the ad] That one does look good and I can wait on the bunnies. Hopefully the other Lavenders take good care of mine in France. It’ll be good to get them out of England, too many foxes have gotten into their paddock.
Maybe I'll have that Ron that likes to read look it up. He'd be better at it than me. [Ron hums, before circling another one.] That one's not bad either, though it's a bit more expensive. We'd have to work a lot to afford it but the location looks nicer.
You're acting odd.
Well you do have a wand Ron, and one tiny flick to hang your towel up isn’t much effort. I’m no clean freak though and having socks on the floor is certainly not something I’d ever lose my head over. [She rests her head against the side of his as he looks back into the paper] Yes we definitely are. We can go look in a pet shop as soon as we get settled. Just not one with bunnies because I’ll want to buy the lot.
Yeah, but if we're living around Muggles I don't think we're allowed to do magic at all, even in our flat. Dunno, would have to look up the regulations on that. Don't want us getting carted off to Azkaban with the last of the death eaters. [He points out one of the ads, before summoning over a quill and circling it.] That one's not all that bad. And no bunnies yet, not until we have our place in the country.
You're acting odd.
Oh yes I remember and I’ll definitely follow through multiple times. I really do hate tan lines. [She runs her fingers through his hair, thinking it’s getting a bit long] Bringing the dog there would be an awful lot of fun. And we can splash around in the water as often as we want. We’ll be able to do as we please Ron, it’ll be amazing.
It'll be like a test run for being adults and getting married and all that. See if we can stand living with one another outside of Hogwarts. You'll probably get sick of picking up my socks off the floor and hanging up my towel in the loo. [He presses a kiss to her cheek, before flipping the page in the paper to look at more listings.] So we're still on for getting the dog, right?
You're acting odd.
Well I’m not planning on inviting a bunch of muggles over to our place for a magic show, are you? We will be just fine if we do it in the privacy of our place. [She likes the sound of our place and repeats it once more before making an excited noise and kissing Ron’s cheek] There are some really lovely places on the South coast. Wouldn’t it be fun to have a beach so close to us? We could go there whenever we want, even at night to fool around.
Well, I do like the sound of being by the beach, if it means you'll go there topless with me. Just like you promised you would, remember? Plus we could bring the dog there and go for walks and play in the water.
You're acting odd.
It doesn’t have to be Muggle London, it could be Muggle where ever. And if we were careful I don’t see why we couldn’t use some magic.
As long as we don't get caught by the Ministry for doing magic in front of Muggles, I guess it wouldn't be so bad. Where are the better flats outside of the city, then?
You're acting odd.
No we don’t have to. It is easier to blend into a big city but if we keep to ourselves then we should be fine. I’ve lived in London all my life so I’ve sort of been around muggles, I think that might be safer with them because they won’t know either of us.
Muggle London, huh? We couldn't do magic, though. They've got restrictions on that. We'd actually have to live like Muggles.
