There will never be another President and First Lady like the Obamas.Â

This seriously just made me so happy
I FEEL OLD:(
This… Is his curse.
Finally posting my second Overwatch poster! Whether the game’s canon or not, I just found the idea of Reaper having to work with these super fun happy unbeat people amusing. He can’t be happy with that, surely.

I wanted to talk about something I’ve wanted to get out for a while now. I never really knew if I’d ever gather the strength to really share what I’ve been through in my life and where it’s put me today. I couldn’t imagine having these words come out of my mouth in an interview or something and I struggled with the whole concept of blogging and updating posts and doing advertisements for products I have never even heard of or don’t believe in. Not that I have a single thing against it, but the whole premise of this space isn’t for everyone to see me strutting in my bikini and island hopping or attending every event thrown by the top names in the fashion industry. Because that isn’t me. I love laying on a Hawaiian beach and tagging my favorite swimwear brands. I love the people I’ve met through modeling and hell I love those mornings where I have woken up and said, “I swear I saw Kate Moss in the bathroom last night..” But I can’t be that all the time. I don’t fit any criteria. I don’t know where I belong. I’m socially awkward but I’m damn good at fluttering my fake social butterfly wings. Since my childhood, I had this concept of fame that someone haunted me to be honest. I guess I didn’t have much of a positive start considering my popularity is mostly attributed to my parent’s nasty divorce battle. But that also isn’t me. I’ve made so many choices in my life and I look back now and I don’t quite understand why I’d put myself through the disappointment in the end. I never took the time to really connect with my inner self. I hardly tried new things. I went with the crowd. I was a follower. I did what I was told i should do and I never questioned it. Most attempts at doing so led me to shame all because I ignore the voice inside me telling me this isn’t where I belong. Instead, I’d run from it all and burn bridges and hurt my career, my personal life, my loved ones and whatever else. I used to be a people pleaser to the point where I got so emotionally involved in pleasing others, that I’d completely lose myself.Â
I can speak honestly now and say that I am in the healthiest mental and emotional state I have ever been in. It took a lot of hard work and luckily for me, I learned it young, but I now know who I am. I know what I need. I know what I want. I know what I deserve. I used to think I didn’t deserve anything at all. As a model, I’d be so down on my weight and my height and my inability to kiss the asses I needed to. I’d read comments about how I’m only a model because I’m the daughter of two celebrities. For a while this hurt actually. Because honestly, that’s undeniably a huge part of it. I am not starving myself. I don’t do routine pilates. I didn’t work as hard because I was too busy reading people’s comments and getting so down about it, that I didn’t want to try. I understand it now. I understand what I want to represent as a model in terms of brands and body image. I know what I want young girls to say when they see my work. I do believe in myself despite the bitterness that comes from as a result of it. Every girl is different. Everyone is different. It’s not something to beat yourself up about. I love my body. I don’t always eat properly. I gain weight. I lose weight. I train hard. I don’t. I have cellulite on my legs, then it suddenly fades. You see, I’d rather be showing that I’m real and again everyone’s reality is different. I struggle. I get bloated and cravings and zits and all that shit. I have two little vaginas under my armpits and I have a hard time getting rid of them. I am who I am and I love it. I’m not forcing myself to be something for anybody else. I take the jobs I believe in. I work with good and lame people but overall I don’t see any of it from a model’s perspective anymore but from the photographer’s. A creative perspective. I no longer hold onto those insecurities and let them show through my photos. I have fair compromise with myself. I know when I need to shape up, feel good both mentally and physically and get the job done.Â
There’s such an unbelievable price to pay with fame. I cringe at the thought of being as famous as someone like say… Britney Spears. I mean, if i ever rose to stardom in such a way, I would lose it. You couldn’t even leave your own home. I’m no longing doing anything with the hopes that I’m going to get a cover or a role in a movie or anything just by waiting on an email. I’m going for it on my own. What’s more important to me than fame, is connection. Networking. Meeting creative people and creating things that’ll last forever. It took me so long to discover who I am and where my happiness lies when it comes to a career. Like I mentioned earlier, there are things that some people do that I have nothing against, it’s just not who I am. I want more control. I want to express myself and show people how I see the world. As I type this, I’m on the set of my first film. Yes, I am actually giving this whole acting thing a try. I love movies more than anything in this world. I’ve known it since I was teeny tiny. Now I know I want to make them. I want to make people laugh and cry. I want people to watch my films and escape their realities because that’s all I did. I watched movies that took me out of my difficult childhood and let me be someone else. This topic may have sort of gone all over the place, but in essence, I don’t care if you don’t like me. I don’t expect you to. I want to change people’s about me. I want to use my social media platforms as the way I express myself and my gratitude. I want to help people above all this Hollywood bullshit. We’re all just people. We’re all equals and were all in this together.Â
Now make sense of that.Â
