Hi, do you have any plans for anymore exchanges this year?

Definitely! Currently the Radiant Garden Exchange is running, with works due very soon. I don’t want there to be too much overlap between our KH exchanges, since it’s easy for people to get overwhelmed, but keep an eye on this space for the next round. I’ll probably post some information later this month.

Hiya! I finished my work and am ready to post, but it's artwork I'm not sure how to submit it to AO3 without posting it publicly first. Do you know if there is a way I can upload directly to AO3? Or should I hold off till tomorrow? Maybe there's an obvious answer that I'm missing here since don't use AO3 too much. Thanks!

For artwork, you will need to post it to another site first!

Of course posting it somewhere public like tumblr or twitter wouldn’t work, so I would recommend another site like imgur where you can mark it private!

We need to know your AO3 username to look up your sign up. Please send us an ask with your username!

This is probably kind of a no-brainer but if you got matched with someone because of one pairing but they also requested another one that you didn’t put on your sign-up are you free to do that one or do you have to do the one you put on your sign-up?

What you placed on your offer doesn’t need to correlate with what you create for your recipient! All that we’re worried about it making sure that at least one of the recipient’s requests are fulfilled. You can create for any of their requests that you please :D

Hi, I'm trying to apply but ao3 is saying because the ships aren't canonical (despite one of them being canonical), they cannot be used for the challenge. What should I do?

Hmmm, AO3 can be a bit picky about how you enter tags. Always make sure you’ve got the characters in alphabetical order: Kairi/Riku/Sora vs Sora/Riku/Kairi. Try Nobody names over Somebody names too!

Accent marks can also be a pain for characters like Namine & Saix. My suggestion is to get those accented letter copied and pasted in! (é and ï here for you)

If a ship you really like just isn’t going in, put it in the description field! We’ll be using that to help make matches, so we’ll be sure to see it.

im sorry if this question seems dumb, but i got a bit confused filling out prompt url and description. what do i put in the first one exactly?

The prompt url is if you write up or already have a gifter letter! You can link to it in case your likes/favorites/do not wants are too long for AO3′s box. Or if you just want to give your gifter some more ideas!

There will be a channel for linking gifter letters in our discord as well!

For the prompt url, do you want our tumblr or our AO3 or what goes in there?

You can put a letter in there if you want! A letter is something that your creator can go to for extra information, if you want to write a prompt that goes over the limit for the text box on AO3. It’s optional so you don’t have to use it, but letters are quite common in the exchange circuit so we’ve allowed them in this exchange as well.
