This morning I was standing on my balcony enjoying the early morning sun and a cup of green tea. I'd recently hung a hummingbird feeder that wasn't getting much visitation. I was thinking about moving it to another section that might be more convenient for hummingbird air traffic. I'm staring at the feeder while pondering its relocation when a large hummingbird zips in, takes several long drinks from my feeder, poops on my patio, and zips off. The feeling I had in that moment was so euphoric it's hard to describe. Pure elation. So amazing. The sun peeked further from the trees in that exact moment. My entire body was warmed. I raised my hands in celebration of that moment. It felt reaffirming of my softness and competency. To be chosen by nature to experience that exact moment. Nature is both artist and muse.
