“I’m glad he decided to provide you with a break. You need to rest more.”
She smiled softly to herself, settling next to him in their usual spot amidst the garden. A full tree provided enough shade to prevent burning her fair skin while she spent time with the king. There wasn’t much else to be said at the moment, so she grew to enjoy the comfortable silence as her eyes followed the birds as the fluttered about.
Solomon didn’t bother to respond, opting to curl up closer to the woman and lean his head against her side. The woman was no doubt in need of some peace and quiet.
