This is because the threat of total loneliness is often times harder to deal with than knowing you aren’t being treated properly in your relationship. Then, if you do choose to end things you’re faced with not having a support system, which can make it difficult to stay away from them.

It’s also just unhealthy, relying on your partner totally for friendship. It’s important to have your own life and vice versa.
