On Saturday evening, October 1, 2022, Errol was doing overtime as he usually did and was rear-ended by a vehicle. After leaving his truck to check on the status of that driver, Errol walked on the side of his truck, where another speeding vehicle swerved around the stopped car and his truck and hit Errol head-on. Errol was badly injured. He was initially non-responsive, but an angel here on Earth - a nurse ran out of her vehicle and administered aide. Many people stopped their cars and tended to Errol, praying with him and holding his hand. Errol broke both legs, and sustained lung damage, damage to his liver, lacerations and cuts all over, but most of the damage was to his head and face. Errol's eye socket bones are fractured, the sinus cavity area is broken, his mandible (jaw bone) is fractured, and deep gashes in his lip, cheeks, forehead and back of his head. Errol is a fighter, alert, and responsive, and we believe he will pull through. However, Errol remains in the Intensive Care Unit and will require multiple surgeries over time as well as rehab. So are asking for help covering those medical bills, any rehabilitation he may need, and ensuring he stays afloat. Errol loves his work as a long-distance truck driver and may not be able to drive again, and definitely not anytime soon. If you know Errol, he is an extremely hard worker and doesn't usually work Saturdays but was trying to catch up. Errol is the kindest soul; he will give you the shirt off his back and often even would help friends relocate across the country for no cost.
