Daniel let out a sigh of relief and excitement, allowing his actual form seep into his human imagine just slightly. This included brightly glowing white eyes lacking pupils, a small glow coming from somewhere in his throat and the darkening of his image. The demon shook a little as he let his form revert slightly. It was a pain to use so much energy constantly.

“Good God it has been too long… You have no idea how happy I am to find another demon. Well actually, maybe you do.” Daniel chuckled and nodded a little at Millicent’s inquiry. “Cover-up. I can’t exactly be myself if I want to get deals, or keep people on my side. Earthbounds tend to be… Well…” Daniel stopped there, assuming the other would know what he meant.

“Sensitive?” In all honesty, Millicent had a lot of words to choose from when it came to them. He didn’t have anything against them really, they could just be so picky easily bothered at times. He couldn’t help but grin as the other spoke, sharp teeth sticking out a little as the demon chuckled under his breath at the others words. “I didn’t think I’d see another demon for a long time.” It was nice to know that there was another demon on the island, even though Millicent didn’t doubt the possibility of there being others too. “It’s not often they come through the island! How long have you been here, anyways?”

Florence looked up at Millicent, eyes slightly narrowed, but then he returned his attention to his hands, which were toying with the ends his scarf. “There’s not enough room in your apartment,” He shrugs, swiping a hair out his eyes, “I have too many books.” That wasn’t entirely true, though, moving in with someone seemed more of a later thing, even if it was a joke.

Craning his neck to glance over the other’s shoulder, Florence shifted in Millicent’s arms. “How much longer? My legs are getting tired.” He teased, adding a small smile at the end.

“It’s like you live with me already.” If the other already knew there wouldn’t be enough room, and the fact that Florence visited his apartment regularly. He shrugged, continuing to smile slightly at the other as he spoke. “If you say so, Florence..” Millicent only chuckled at the others words, quickly pretending to look hurt as he continued to carry the other down the street. “You can see my apartment from here, Florence!”

“I definitely don’t believe that.” It looks like Millicent will have to go clothes shopping soon, which certainly wasn't on his to-do list until just now. Millicent only rolled his eyes at the other, knowing very well that anymore sweaters he bought would just be taken as well by the cat thief. “You really should just move in with me, Florence.”

Daniel smiled back and shook his hand, but his face fell in shock. “Another demon? Don’t tell me,” Daniel said, his smile returning but twice as big as before, “that you are also a demon?” Excitement bubbled in his chest. In all the months he’d spent on the island, he’d never seen another demon. Not a true one. All those cat demons and wolf demons didn’t matter to him. Daniel dropped his shield a little, allowing his true personality to seep through. “Ignore my earlier introduction. That was a cover-up.”

“I’m also a demon.” It was obvious that Millicent was also a little excited, unable to hold back a sharp toothed grin at the others reaction. He’d have to agree honestly, Millicent couldn’t remember the last time he saw another demon on the island. It’s been months, and even when one did come by, they didn’t ever stay for too long. “Really?” He couldn’t help but chuckle softly at that, pulling his hand away from the others after a few moments. “A cover-up?”

“Mmhm, you will. Don’t worry.” He wouldn’t. Florence literally stole all of his sweaters. All of them. And he didn’t plan on stopping any time soon. They were just so nice and comfy and smelled like Millicent– which vaguely resembled sage and his shampoo he used. and that specific person smell.

Florence looked down at r ground, then up at Millicent. “Do you think I’d be lighter the other way?” As in a cat. Obviously he would be, but Millicent probably liked carrying Florence.

He’s probably a catnip thief too. “I’m not sure whether I should believe that or not, Florence!” Once again, Millicent really didn’t mind, he’d just have to get more later. “Obviously. “Oh! My name is Daniel. Roice.” The demon wished that his introduction sounded a little less awkward and a little more impressive. However, there was nothing special or interesting about his name and the coverup personality of his… Well, it wasn’t the best to use if you wanted grand and stunning. “And you?” Daniel asked as he leaned his umbrella against the wall. The stranger seemed like decent person, although largely uninteresting.

“Millicent Pierce.” It was an immediate response, the demon slowly holding his hand out for the other to shake as a small, sharp toothed smirk appeared. His gaze didn’t move away from the other as Millicent continued to examine him, almost taking in every little detail of the other as he started to hum softly under his breath. “I didn’t expect such an awkward response from another demon.”

Florence jumped a little at the sudden scooping, blushing angrily, if you can do that sort of thing. Just as long as Millicent took the back roads… maybe no one would see them. “Well, my shower head’s all broken,” He huffed, folding his arms instead of wrapping them around the other’s neck or whatever.

“I mean…. You always buy the comfiest sweaters…” It was a fact, and since Millicent was several sizes bigger than Florence, they usually went down to his mid-thigh and past his hands, which was incredible.

“I don’t know, that could just be an excuse.” Millicent couldn’t be too sure, but the other probably was being truthful. He didn’t really care anyways, the other could stay over at his apartment whenever for all he cared. The others reaction to being picked up made Millicent smirk, already deciding to take the back roads just to give the other a small break. Millicent only laughed at that, shaking his head slightly as he chuckled under his breath. “I don’t care, Florence, as long as I get them back at some point later on.”

Florence rolled his eyes right back, holding the frown for a moment still, but couldn’t help but crack a small smile, shaking his head a little. “Yours. You have the working shower.” Shuffling closer to Millicent, he shoved his hands in his pockets, hoping to avoid the demon from holding his hand.

Public displays of affection were embarrassing to Florence.

It’s okay, Millicent went for just scooping the other up off his feet instead. You should know better by now anyways, Florence, Millicent wouldn’t ever give up. “Really, you need to use my shower? You’ll be taking my clothes next.” Millicent chuckled, starting to walk once more before the other could protest carrying him. "Actually, don’t you have one of my sweaters already?”

Daniel looked up from his umbrella and instead towards the voice. It shocked him a bit, but he quickly straightened up and regained his composure. “Oh, no. No it is not.” The demon said as he shook his hand through his hair, trying to shake off any wetness. “I apologize for barging in. This was the closest building.” He wasn’t actually sorry, but he wasn’t going to tell this stranger that.

It didn’t really look like Millicent cared, only shrugging slightly as his attention turned to the weather outside. “It’s fine, I really don’t care, you can stay as long as you need.” Millicent wouldn’t be leaving for awhile anyways, having some extra tasks to finish up around the center before heading home himself. He paused, looking back at the other with slight curiosity. “And you are?”

“Oh nothing, just thinking aloud about how much I dislike being around you.” Florence smiled gently, hoping to stun the other with his sarcasm. He knew that it wouldn’t, but he couldn’t help to do it anyways.

“I also mentioned something about getting out of the rain, but I think the first thing was much more important.” His smile quickly faded when Florence noticed Millicent examining him, frowning deeply instead. What an ass.
