“scientists don’t want you know” is a phrase that always cracks me up because if you actually meet a scientist they will be shaking and crying like an overstimulated chihuahua with the need to let you know

04/09/2026 - Day 4/24 ⭐️
Another late post! I had my Cell Biology final yesterday and overall I think it went good! Most of the questions I knew and there were only about 3 I absolutely didn't know the content of. I'm hoping to get at least a B in this class so fingers crossed 🤞
I didn't start off the semester with very good academic habits - I was recovering from illness and burnout from the semester before and it almost felt like I'd completely lost my drive to study or even remember how to. So, I'm treating this a bit like my redemption, trying to get back into better habits and all.
Yesterday was an overall UNPRODUCTIVE day - I only reviewed a little before my test and then after once I got home it was like I completely crashed and couldn't bring myself to do anything for the rest of the day. I'm taking that as a sign my body and brain needed a break 😅 - One thing this semester has taught me is not to ignore when my brain needs rest.
It was a beautiful day yesterday (and today as well!) - I'm so glad the weather is finally turning around - seeing the sun just makes everything better. I've been playing Super Mario Galaxy (trying to complete every level) - anybody else been playing any games recently? 🤔
Reminder that spring will always come back, music will never stop being created, and there are still so many books left to read! You’re alive! You’re alive! You’re alive!
3/17/2026: Finished reading We'll Prescribe You a Cat while bawling my eyes out. Then went to eat a sandwich with my mom. Life is weird these days.
04/08/2026 - Day 3/24 ⭐
Writing the post on the 9th because I ended up falling asleep last night before I could make one 😅 - yesterday was SUPER busy but less productive in the morning than I'd like to be. I also had a doctor's appointment and work that kind of put a roadblock in the flow of things, but I still managed to finish what I wanted so I call that a win!
Focused on: Cell biology again! I worked through the cell cycle as well as the last Cancer and Cell death unit.
Only got one picture of the library I was working in. I prefer to work in enclosed, older spaces than modern ones with lots of windows 😌, I think it makes things more cozy.
04/07/2026 - Day 2/24 ⭐
Had a long but productive day of studying today. I didn't quite finish everything I wanted to study but sleep is important so I decided that I'll just do my best to finish the rest tomorrow. Everybody's posts make me so inspired; you all work so hard!
Focused on: Cell biology again! My test is almost here so I've been doing my best to review everything.
For everyone going through exams right now: keep going! We're almost to the finish line.
04/06/2026 - Day 1/24* ⭐
I decided I'd start keeping a log on here of my productivity to keep myself motivated - *I know I'm late to the 30 April Days of Productivity but I only found out about it yesterday; I'm just modifying it to account for the rest of the month instead.
Focused on: Cell Biology!- went through the entire Chromosomes and Nucleus unit and I think I've got most of it down. At this point I'm just going for good enough rather than perfection.
^^ My breakfast and set up from this morning

good morning
My evening drinking tea and answering emails. First day back at my daily job! The best thing I can do to balance my job productivity and my personal creative work is to have breaks (if I can) to read and listen to lectures.

Your daily reminder that you don't have to be a genius or some math whiz in order to be a STEM major. One failed class, one bad exam, or even one awful teacher does not make you unintelligent or incapable of achieving your goals. Dust yourself off and try again.
