I may end up needing to ask for donations at some point. Not only is my partners mom at the hospital, and it has been a lot to stress on my partner and I, and I haven't always been able to get ride from friends and had to use ubers to check on her... I won't be getting paid for being her aide for any time she was admitted which at this point has been almost a full week at this point. We have food in the house at the moment. But given that we live pay check to paycheck it will be rough loosing a week of pay.

If she does die, I am not only gonna be dealing with the loss of a loved one, I will be out of work, and potentially out of housing. My gf and I have been trying to save to help move in with her partners but we are nowhere near that goal. Putting this out here now. Survival funds, paying off beds fun, potentially moving funds. I hadn't been asking for help because it felt selfish, that I should have been able to handle it all. But living paycheck to paycheck is scary and having to deal with this is scary. And it's not just me, its my partner who might be losing her mother. who is disabled and tries her best to help with the house but can't do traditional work.

Tomorrow will be officially the start of a second week of no pay. My partners mom is still in the hospital. If she is there for a other week that would be the equivalent of a full pay period of no pay.
They are doing more tests. There are two main issues, her Diabetes medication Maunjaro has inflamed her stomach making it harder to digest and eat food. Her blood pressure has also been extremely high and the main reason they have been keeping her. She would rather be resting and recovering at home but the doctors seem concerned that she is a pre stroke levels.
I am considering doing temp work of some kind. Perhaps returning to doing some small scale sex work, or perhaps some other service to try and get money in the mean time.
My gf thankfully has her paid games, and is considering doing something big to celebrate 100 followers on her twitch so perhaps we maybe able to get some in come from those avenues as well.

Heya! My gf and I are gonna be purchasing a new bed. We both deal with chronic pain and the mattress we've had for years is not making things easier and maybe actively thinking worse.
Thing is, we live pay check to pay check already, trying to adjust that cut back where we can, do things cheaper etc. But its hard when you are already struggling. But we are hoping that if we are in less pain and getting proper sleep we can maybe have more energy that can help with improving our lives.
We will probably buying one via a payment plan but even the cheapest options are a bit over a hundred dollars a month that we would have to scrounge up. Some dear friends and family have already sent some aid to us, and we intend to use that to put a down payment for it.

Okay, so. I’ve recently had a surgery that’s left me unable to walk easily. I need to be able to use a computer, and my existing laptop is unusable. I need something I can use in bed for writing and general internet use, as I am in a nursing home and there are long periods of time when staff cannot help get me up. Some days they cannot help get me up and to my computer at all.

Hi. Long story short: I've been trying to get on disability in the US for a ridiculous amount of time at this point. I can't work, but I still need money to live, unfortunately. My partner pays most of my heaviest expenses, but I still have a few bills of my own that she can't cover, along with needing to make incidental purchases and buy occasional groceries and such.
