Free-falling
“Poker. No point in playin` 21 if it’s just the two of us.” Tamao wasn’t as fond of blackjack as he was of poker. Luck never seemed to be on his side when he played it, especially against Tokaji. At one point Tokio had mentioned that it was more math and card counting than luck, so it made sense for his former commander to have an unbeatable winning streak. Tamao just didn’t have the patience to do that sort of thing, and he definitely wasn’t the type to bother figuring out percentages just to win a few thousand yen. He picked up the cards that Genji threw at him and waited for his ‘opponent’ to make the first move.
Nodding at the other, he pulled his hand in front of his face, keeping a steady expression as he gazed over the cards. "I'm giving you a 15,000 limit, so don't get cocky, you fuck." He looked up to the other, cocking his brow at the other, watching his facial expressions. "1000 in the pot. You callin'?"
Placing his cards down, he motioned for chips to be brought to them, dividing them out 15,000 yen to each of them, dropping two 500 yen chips in between the both of them. He wondered how the hand will play. He kept his breath steady for once, knowing that if he showed any form of a tell, the beast in front of him would pick up on it immediately.
