Headcanon #2
In regards to Loki.
To play along side Fárbauti's headcanons on Loki Laufey was never too upset to see the boy gone. His wife loved the son she had birthed, but his disappointment in the babe was never all that subtle. Loki showed no great promise of strength or size and thus had no real value to him. The child was favored by his mother, however, and so long as Loki was kept out of his way there was never a problem with his runt of a son being around.
When the boy was killed the only grief Laufey carried was his queen's. He held no remorse for the loss of one son because he'd never seen any potential in him to begin with. Still Fárbauti had cared for Loki and so he showed a rare tenderness in his efforts to comfort her and turn her back to what still lived. They had other children that would benefit from her attention and love, sons that he would raise up to be proper warriors and perhaps, eventually, kings.
