this bio is almost as long as what i wrote for joshua's carrd and we haven't even gotten to the sports or the mafia bits yet fml

for instance, a big theme in this character's backstory is the idea that no one listens to him or helps him so he comes to the conclusion that if he wants something done and especially if he wants to protect someone he cares about, he has to do it himself through whatever means necessary, often using violence. so my job is to weave that into my write-up of his backstory so hopefully even people who have never heard of the character will understand why he acts the way he does. it's a fun exercise.

this bio is getting so long lmao i wanna get started but this series is kind of nuts so i do have to explain wtf this character's deal is. also i love talking and this always helps me pin down the muse and their themes so i can write them better.

my graphics editing skills have improved massively in the past couple years. i took a photography class where we did photo editing and i fell in love with blending modes.

well i figured out how to make carrds from scratch, it's surprisingly simple and very fun. if it weren't for the pesky 3-site limit per account i would now be unstoppable. unfortunately i would have to make a third account to make any more lmao

"You're not. I don't think you are. I think they just don't know how to work with us. Why don't you try spending some time with them? Get to know them yourself."

"I know I should, I'm just... hesitant. I know I have trouble regulating my emotions, and can blow situations way out of proportion, but... he treats me like I'm overreacting all the time. Like I'm just being stupid and irrational and need to get over myself. I've been learning to trust myself again, and talking to him makes me feel like I'm losing that. But I keep thinking... maybe he's right? I honestly can't tell, and it's terrifying."

"You are not the bad guy here. I was trying to assure you that I'm okay before. It wasn't my intention to make you feel like I was fighting you. I just didn't want you to worry about me. But I don't consider you the bad guy, and I don't think anyone else does, either. I want to work with you to help look after me. You haven't hurt me. I can see that you're just protecting me. I'm not going to fight that."

"I know. You haven't hurt me, you haven't done anything wrong. It's how Hazelnut and his Kiryu treat me. Treat us. It feels like I am fighting them, I am a villain to them, and Hazelnut just sees me as an irrational child, and it's..." His fingers twitch. "It's hard to keep from believing that. But I didn't think I was being unreasonable..."

"I don't want to hurt you, dove. Never again. I will always put you first, forever. Okay? I'm not going to date him. If nothing else, you made it clear that was a hard no. I just have to know where the line is so I don't cross it."

"I'm just... I'm tired of hurting you. I'm tired of being the bad guy. I'm so sick of this. Wherever this goes, it will hurt, so I may as well do what I can to make you happy."

"I don't... Know what you want me to do... Do you want me to cut ties from him? Do you want me to stop communicating with him?"

"No, I'm... I think I really am just overreacting. Sorry. You can date him, I shouldn't have gotten in your way."

[strawberista]

"Huh? But, I did, dove. I'm not dating him anymore. I did what you asked me to. We-- We were all gonna hang out together, you too. That's why he was over here. We're not dating, though, I swear."

"You may as well date him, then. It seems like he's going to treat you the same either way, so why not?"
