I had forgotten that in canon Ace literally doesn't practice horseback riding unless his fear of failure compels him too because he is too afraid to get on a horse when not in a race, and just straight up wins the races because he is too afraid of failing to win the races and being revealed to be a "fraud", and he just did that over and over until he became the Ultimate Jockey

Something I’ve been looking at recently is the mechanism behind old clocks.

I found it interesting that these old clocks would rely on a weight to be wound up and then dropped to continue working. These old clocks therefore include two notable mechanisms

- a heavy weight is wound up and then dropped

- a mechanism is used to pull the weight, by spinning rope around a mechanical part.

If you compare this to Arei murder, I think you get some interesting parallel.

In Terukos own words, a “spinny thing” was used to hoist Arei up, and then suddenly stop to drop her. Arei is hoisted up, and dropped down, just like in a grandfather clock.

Maybe it isn’t so far fetched that Eden could discern Nico murder method, if it’s something she’s already worked with before?

Why can't the DRDT characters agree on a way to pronounce Arei's name

Some of them call her "aah-rei" and others pronounce it like the word "array" please make up your mind guys 😭

I finally figured out why I feel so strongly about DRDT characters compared to mainline danganronpa/other fangan characters. (a short yapping session)

With Kiyotaka (my favorite mainline Danganronpa character), I met the character and, he died within two days bc I was binging. Not much time to get attached, but still enough to care a lot, you know?

But with Eden? Ace?? It's been a year and a half 😭 I've gotten impossibly attached to those silly guys.

Honestly, the hiatus has probably elevated this series into what Danganronpa is supposed to be (in my opinion): characters you really love dying.

We've gotten so much time to fall for these characters that having them killed is that much more painful. But that could literally just be me! Idk!

DRDT spoilers

Is it just me or are some of these cases reversing a killer and victim from THH?

In THH case 1, a girl wearing a school uniform (Sayaka) tries and fails to kill a redhead who has a piercing in his tongue (Leon). The redhead then kills her. In DRDT case 1, a redhead who has a piercing in his tongue (Xander) tries to kill a girl in a school uniform (Teruko) and was supposedly about to kill another girl in a school uniform (Min), only to be killed himself.

In THH case 2, a strong boy with a short temper (Mondo) ends up killing a timid character whose gender was his motive secret (Chihiro) in the gym. In DRDT case 2, a timid character whose gender was their motive secret (Nico) tries to kill a strong boy with a short temper (Ace) in the gym, the only difference being that Ace survived and Chihiro unfortunately did not.

Even if you don't count the Nico murder attempt as a real murder, there's still the fact that the person who wound up dead is a rather aggressive person whose tragic backstory has something to do with their siblings (though admittedly that's more of a reach than the Nico one) - I guess I'll have to wait and see who the culprit is before calling it.

Do you think it's possible that David knows who told Xander to kill Teruko, and why? Clearly whatever the reason was was important though that Xander, who "hates the smell of blood and murderers", went ahead and did it despite regretting it. This could explain why David has it out for Teruko specifically.
