In 1958 the Central Documentary Film Studios released a short film about the recently introduced Kinopanorama format for exhibition in Soviet cinemas. The music, which introduces the film, titled A New Form of Soviet Cinema, was composed by John Steven Lasher on Finale software. Music © 2014 John Steven Lasher. All Rights Reserved.
Kinopanorama Widescreen turned 1 today! We are proud of our Association and look forward to many more years as Australia's foremost repository of artefacts relating to widescreen and wide gauge films.
The floor-plan of the USSR Pavilion at the 1958 Bruxelles Worlds Fair. The Kinopanorama cinema may be located in the lower mid-left corner. The second Kinopanorama film Magic Mirror, which was screened during the duration of the Fair, received a Special Grand Prize from the administrators of the Bruxelles fair.
