i have kind of a odd request but, could i ask for a sort of positivity? im kaneki and i miss my ghoul body so much. do you , maybe know what i could do to feel like myself again ?
your request isn’t odd at all! I can understand missing a body, even if it’s not on the same scale of what you must be feeling,,,
your ghoul body was pretty superhuman! getting into shape, working out, building muscle etc. could all help you if what you want is to feel strong and capable again! if it’s things like your kagune that you miss, that might be a little more challenging,,,
I personally find items to help me a lot when missing myself or how I used to be! accessories or in canon items,,, I see your mask floating around all the time, if you don’t have one already I’m sure getting one could make you feel better about being you! ooh, or at a convention I went to a while ago, there was a girl cosplaying as you, who made her own kagune! It was sticking out of her back and it was really big! I’m not sure how to describe it exactly, other than saying that it was really neat! since it’s an aspect of your body, I wonder if making or purchasing something similar could help,,, and when you need an excuse, cosplay is always a perfect one!

hi Kakyoin! I can understand your worries about passing this summer, and just in general. But right now is pride month, the month you should be most proud of being yourself, and it’s the month where your most aware that there are so many people out there that go through similar struggles everyday. If you’re genuinely worried about passing, there are loads of articles all over the internet on passing as male, and wikihow has a really great article on this kind of thing. And if you’re ever feeling really disphoric, there’s a really great filter on snapchat right now that makes you look extremely masculine!
And don’t be afraid to correct someone on your pronouns, even strangers! And if they don’t respect them or you, they aren’t worth your time. It’s always important that you are comfortable with the people you hang out with and talk to. And if you’re not out yet, that’s okay, I’m only out to two people in real life! But just being out to one helps, especially when they use your preferred pronouns, or just having them around to help back you up.
Your safety concern is legitimate, especially with all the horrifying things that you see on the news, and even the things that you know happens but you don’t see. Remember to be careful, and to take care of yourself. Look up your area’s laws, make sure it’s okay to carry pepper spray on your person, and if not there are lots of items and devices developed that can keep you safe or help you defend yourself. For example, this.
Some general tips include never travelling alone, pretending to be on the phone when someone is following you (don’t get off it until they’re gone), and keeping an eye on any alcoholic beverages you’re drinking from. If you didn’t get the drink yourself, don’t put it near your mouth. If you take an eye off your drink for even a moment, that beverage is dead to you. If someone else goes near it, dead to you.
