Was born and raised in Briar Ridge. She has a twin brother and had an older sister. Her sister passed away when Kira was 17.
Was always the shy, quiet kid. Banked on having her brother there and usually just met friends because they were his friends.
As she got into high school and found drama club, she came out of her shell a little more. She had friends of her own and found an outlet to gain some confidence. It was from this that she met her first boyfriend.
From the time Kira was a baby, her grandmother had owned “business name” and had run it with Kira’s aunt. Kira worked there from 16 and even though she took a break when she left for college, she worked there every summer. It was decided that as she loved it so much, and if she got a good degree, then the shop would eventually pass down to Kira.
She learnt the business inside out, dedicating as much time as she could to it and once her grandmother was ready to retire, she handed over the lease, keys and company registration. The shop is Kira’s baby and as much as she is probably a workaholic, she loves coming with new flavours and ideas for the shop.
Although thriving professionally, following her and X's breakup, she did retreat a little into the shy, reserved person she was as a child. She comes into her own in the shop, but outside of it, she takes a while to warm up and open up to new people.
Hasn’t really dated much since her break up when she was 24 and is absolutely terrified of getting hurt again. She hasn’t had anything serious since this.

Goes to a drama club to try and regain some of her confidence.
"You think so? That's kind of funny. I always wondered if there was a little difference between fish. My cousin had one that lived for years and I was always a little bit skeptical when they made facebook posts celebrating another year of life." It all sounded like a ploy for attention and some well intentioned lies. She nodded her head. "They do weird things on there. Sometimes I get myself on weird sides of tik tok but I always find myself back to wholesome content at some point."
She stood by her friend and smirked at the mention of hidden fondue stains. She didn't have the same story because her mother had a remedy for every single stain. A concoction of home items that took out whatever food or grease stain from even the hardest fabric. "Don't put pressure on me like that, you know I already have a hard time saying no as it is. I'll end up giving the creepiest person my information."
"There probably is if you get close enough but if it looks similar enough then there's enough plausible deniability, surely?" Although when she had looked at the fish in the tank when replacing the one she got her brother, she was convinced they were all identical." Rolling her eyes a little at the idea of birthday posts for a fish, Kira could only hope she never saw one of them from her brother. "According to my best friend in the fish store, some of them can live for ages but it sounded like too much of a commitment, so I just bought the cheapest one."
Shaking her head, Kira held her hands up in mock surrender. "There is zero pressure from me, I mean it's not like I can talk, right? I don't even remember the last time I came close to scoring with anyone. I'm just saying that if you do, fondue dates aren't a bad way to go." Shaking her head again, Kira nudged Elsie gently with her shoulder. "Then it can be my job that night to keep anyone setting off the creep radar away from you. You deserve a chance, so I will be creep security and an epic wing woman."
The soft creak of the door opening pulled Benny from his thoughts, and he glanced up to see Kira's grandmother gracefully entering the room. A warm smile spread across his face as he waved, watching her make her way to a quaint table. Turning his attention back to Kira, his expression softened. She was kind to offer an ear despite their circumstances. "You had me at ice cream tub," he said with a playful grin, a hint of mischief evident as one eye playfully winked. Although Benny had never fully envisioned himself in this moment, the enticing mention of ice cream stirred a newfound sense of possibility within him. Suddenly, it felt not just conceivable but probable.
He listened as she talked about the difficulties of her situation, nodding in understanding whenever he could. "There's a lot you don't know," he said, letting out a sympathetic sigh. He could definitely relate to her struggles, and he admired her perseverance. "Here's to hoping you eventually find out. You know I'll be rooting for you from the sidelines—or across the street, if you will," he added with a grin. When she offered to lead the way, Benny glanced at his watch and considered the time. He looked over at the café for a moment before saying, "I have time." Nodding, he gestured for her to go ahead. He picked up the remaining coffee cup he had set aside and followed Kira.
"Well lucky for you, I have plenty of them so just give me some notice over which ones I need to make sure I have." It wouldn't be the first or the last time that one of Kira's friends had come to the shop or her house knowing that she would always have a good supply of their favourite sad snack. It was one of the things in the wider public that kept her in business.
Smiling at him, Kira nodded her thanks. It was going to be a tough road but at least the support she knew she would need at times was there. "Thank you, I do appreciate it." Checking they had picked everything up off of the counter, Kira led the way over to the table, leaning down to greet both women with a kiss to their cheek as Kira reached them. Handing her grandmother her tea, Kira took the seat next to her before glancing back over at Benny, widening her eyes slightly as her grandmother looked between them. Straight into the Lion's Den. "So who are we gossiping today? There must be some stories you haven't caught us up on lately."
“Solid choice.” Levi instantly agreed with Kira’s starter suggestion, having to tear his gaze across the table away upon spotting a waiter passing nearby. Waving them over towards him, he placed the request in for what they both wanted out first. Truly, luck somehow turned out on his side right now. Having no hesitation putting an end to what she unnecessarily had to put up with before his hasty arrival. This was new territory, a dynamic shift. One not shot out of the dark, providing a rare sense of solace in a vast unknown. “Good thing the only opinion that matters is your grandmother’s then.” He mused, a smirk touching at his lips while grabbing his own wine glass, taking another sip. “That’s dedication. I’ll give them that.” With a light laugh under his breath, Levi would hardly be surprised if that club was a reality. Something he clearly hadn’t considered when bolting to a much smaller location years ago.
“I bet. But my statement about their granddaughter also still stands.” Levi insisted, genuinely intrigued learning more about her family. From what he didn’t know from their usual, profound conversations. Yet, he found himself hesitating a moment. Probably wasn’t the best time for divulging more about his. “— I have some step family around. They’ve been a lot of help since I’ve moved here..” An understatement.
"Never say that in front of her, her ego couldn't take it." Kira laughed softly as she shook her head. "She already thinks she's always right, we really don't need to feed into that." It easy talking about her family, especially as she didn't need to have the talk about her sister. Levi knew the gory details already and although there were times she felt bad that she didn't always talk about her sister, at least this time it wasn't because she didn't want to, but didn't need to. "Oh, I know, pretty sure they have pictures of us all and just pitch each other ideas on who would suit."
She wasn't the best at receiving compliments, but she thanked him at his and tried to ignore the warmth in her cheeks from her blush. At least she could blame the wine. "That's nice, I'm glad you have them around." For someone as close to her family as Kira, she couldn't imagine not being around them as much as she was. "You're not from here, right? Did you visit as a kid or was it just a random place you saw on a map one day? I've always loved the idea of doing that, even if I've never actually wanted to move."
Alara froze for just a second, Kira’s words striking deeper than she’d care to admit. Then, slowly, she turned back around, expression guarded, but the hurt flickering behind her eyes was unmistakable.
"You think I don’t know that?" she said, voice quieter now but no less sharp. "You think I don’t know that leaving meant losing you too?" She let out a short, humorless laugh, shaking her head. "You keep acting like I just woke up one day and decided to walk away for fun. Did you ever stop to think about why I felt like I had to leave, Kira?" She scoffed, "Of course not, because you have no idea what it was like for me back then."
Her arms dropped from their defensive cross, fingers reaching out to grip the edge of the counter instead. "I was always everyone's second choice. I was Emil's second choice after Amaia. Even with you guys, I was always the second choice if Emil wasn't available to hang out with or vice versa." She hesitated, forcing herself to meet Kira’s eyes. "You were always his best friend first. Even when I thought we were getting closer, I never felt like I really belonged. I never felt like I was yours to lose."
She swallowed hard, forcing herself to push through the knot tightening in her throat. "So yeah, I left. I left before it broke me completely. And I guess that means I abandoned you too and I'm sorry for that. But you weren’t the one lying awake every night knowing you loved someone more than they’d ever love you. You weren’t the one slowly suffocating under the weight of being second choice over and over again."
Kira had never really given much thought as to the reasons behind Alara leaving town. She hadn't given much thought to the situation at all apart from helping her best friend through the hurt of losing her in such an abrupt way and after Emil seemed okay, she had added her hurt on the topic to the ever growing pot of pain she had been carrying around with her ever since her heart had been broken.
"Of course I wondered why you left, Alara, but I'm not a mind reader! I didn't know why you felt like you had to leave or even fathom why because you had never spoken about the way you felt and if you said it to Emil, it wasn't his place to tell me." They had been good friends, but it also wasn't like they had been close enough to delve into their feelings and issues, considering Kira didn't want to do that all, not even just to Alara. "How could I have possibly known what it was like for you? Did you just expect me to know?"
With a small sigh, Kira moved away from her position by the counter to the door, turning the lock and turning the sign to 'closed' to ensure that no one would walk in during their tense reunion. As Alara began to explain herself, Kira did feel her heart go out to her. For someone who had never really felt good enough in a lot of aspects of her life, there was an understanding to what Alara was saying. "I'm not diminishing your feelings, but I'm not sure him having an ex is fair." Was defending him the right thing to do? Maybe not, but Kira always would. "I'm sorry you felt that way with us, I am and I do wish you'd spoken to me about it. I never knowingly treated you like a back up or second choice. He's just.. he's my person, you know?"
Moving to sit down at one of the tables, Kira crossed one leg over the other before gesturing with her hand to the seat opposite her. "Did you ever tell him any of this? It's not my place to tell you what happened after you left. If he wants you to know, he'll tell you himself." Her face gradually began to soften at the memory of Emil's own heartbreak and their subsequent couch rotting. "Why did you just leave though? Even if you didn't say goodbye to me, didn't he at least deserve a conversation?"
"No!" Elsie knew that sometimes the universe, or the fish, did things like that for the plot. "Was it a unique one cause I know some fish look different. Hopefully it was a typical goldfish that you can get at any pet shop." She couldn't help but laugh at the three minutes ahead, not having realized that Kira was an actual twin. She'd known about the sibling but not that there was only three minutes separating the two of them. "You aren't really siblings if you don't hold things like that over each others head even years later." Her head shook, grimacing at the idea of doing it. "No, but apparently tik tok has let me know a lot of people have."
"Yeah, I think that I'm ready." She said with a nod when she looked over the cart and began to steer it towards the cash registers. "I don't think so and cheese keeps well. Plus, imagine the fondue you can have with whatever you've got leftover."
"Luckily it was just the standard orange goldfish, so if he noticed then he never said anything. If I'm being honest, I don't think the fish I started looking after was actually the one I got him. I don't know for sure, but he's probably on fish seven by now." Pulling a face to show her disgust and, to be honest, her horror at the idea, Kira shook her head. "People on TikTok do that? Thank god I haven't made it onto that side. Ever since I started posting about the shop, I only get hair tutorials or other ice cream videos."
Grabbing her purse from the cart, Kira fished out her credit card as they lined up to pay for their indoor picnic. "True, fondue is never a bad idea. Unless it drips on the floor, that stain is now carefully hidden by my couch." Moving to load their items onto the belt, Kira glanced over at her friend. "But if you score at speed dating, you can have the fondue."
Wes huffed a quiet chuckle, shaking his head as he leaned a little closer, just enough so she’d have to at least glance his way. "Hey," he said, his voice a little softer now, "falling off a barstool isn’t exactly the worst thing that’s happened in this place. You’re still doin’ alright." He grabbed a glass of water anyway, setting it down beside her with no pressure, just there if she wanted it. "And for the record, you're not monopolising my time. If anything, you're making my night a little more interesting." There was warmth behind the words, an easy sincerity, like he wasn't just saying it to make her feel better. His smirk returned as he straightened up, giving her space. "But I'll hold you to that free ice cream deal — gonna need it after all this hard work." He tipped his head toward her, a quiet reassurance in his gaze, and a sneaky smirk tugging at his lips.
As reassuring as he was being, Kira couldn't shake the feeling of embarrassment. It wasn't completely her fault, she hadn't embarrassed herself by saying something stupid, she had just fallen off her chair, but it was all too easy for her to be hard on herself. "I fell off a barstool trying and failing to flirt with someone who I probably have no business flirting with." She had no idea of Wes' situation and the last thing she wanted was to make him or anyone else uncomfortable. "Free ice cream is sorted, but I'm just gonna head home." Reaching for her purse, she still couldn't bring herself to look at him, the redness still firmly on her cheeks. "Sorry about.. well, yeah. I'll see you around. Free ice cream starts from tomorrow." Glancing up at him, she offered a quick smile. "Have a good night." With a nod, she turned and walked away, her feet quick but not quick enough that she could say she ran away, even if she really wanted to.
Wes had been ready with a quip — at least he thought he was, something teasing about whether she was talking literally or not — but then Kira went and tumbled right off the damn stool. He couldn't move fast enough, though he'd tried, immediately bending down to help her up. "Whoa—are you alright?" After he hoisted her up with ease, he steadied her for a moment, giving her a once over to ensure she wasn't injured. "You know, if I ever get back to the arena," it was never going to happen, but still, "I might have to call you up. Seems like you could give some of those bulls a run for their money in the whole 'throwing yourself to the ground' thing." A smirk tugs at his lips, eyeing her with cautious amusement, like he was still expecting her to tip over again at any moment. "Alright, cowgirl," Wes finally drawled, pushing off the bar and standing a little straighter. "How about we get you a drink?" A beat passed before he added, "A nice, cold, non-alcoholic drink. Maybe water?"
She wasn't entirely sure what was worse, staying on the floor where everyone could see what had happened or being helped up from the floor by the person she had been badly flirting with when she had fell off the stool and having to actually look at him. She kept her eyes down as much as she could, her cheeks blazing red as she tried to keep herself from looking anywhere near his face. "Totally fine, absolutely fine and not at all hoping that the ground swallows me whole at all."
Instead of sitting back down on the stool, Kira leaned against the bar, deciding to wait a few seconds before inevitably running away and hoping that she wouldn't have to see Wes until she had successfully bleached the part of her brain that would remember this happening. "I'm okay thanks, I've made enough of a fool of myself, I don't think I need to keep monopolising your time anymore." She still hadn't looked at him properly, even if she couldn't feel quite the same amount of heat in her cheeks. "Sorry, I really shouldn't drink this much on one slice of pizza. You can get free ice cream for life for dealing with this, honestly."
Elsie couldn't help but laugh because this was exactly what she wanted to hear. Majority of her friends who had children all replaced their fish periodically so this wasn't any news to her. "A whole month, huh? How long did the fish make it before you killed it?" Elsie teased, toying at her guilt a little bit because she found it funny. For a pet that does nothing but eat and sleep, they're hard to keep alive. "I doubt he'd be mad. It's not like you buried an hamster that was hibernating." A new piece of information she only gained this year.
"I don't know that we can. I feel like it can't be any worse than I've dealt with." A variety of different personalities that often clashed with hers or she decided to get picky last minute. "We'll have to come up with a secret word to bail."
It was best to be safe than sorry. When her friend leaned against her, she grabbed her elbow to return the embrace. "I promise I'll call you." Elsie didn't believe it to be that serious but she promised to offer peace of mind and decided that she would follow through should she feel in a rut or was just in need of a friend.
"It was literally two days before he came home. I think he waited so he knew that I'd panic and not have a crazy amount of time before my brother got home to get him a fish that looked identical. The little fucker." Shaking her head, Kira sighed out her pretend frustration with her former foster pet. "He'd have probably been fine with it but I also didn't need to hear about how I killed his fish for the rest of our lives. He already holds it over my head that he was born a whole three minutes before me, this would give him way too much ammunition." Looking over at her friend, Kira couldn't help when her brow furrowed and a somewhat shocked look took its place on her face. "Els.. Did you accidentally bury a hamster alive?"
Looking into their cart as Kira pulled back from their sideways hug, she gently squeezed Elsie's arm before gesturing to the over the top contents of their shopping trip. "Shall we check this stuff out and then get back to mine? I might have added too much cheese but can you ever really have too much cheese?"
Benny's brows rose in surprise at the reveal of her ex. He nodded in approval, unexpectedly intrigued, as he hadn’t pictured Kira to be the type. However, he wasn't entirely sure what that really meant. It wasn't like he categorized himself based on what tattoo artists or people covered in tattoos were like. He shook his head, again nodding in agreement with Kira’s suggestion. "For the record, I do like ice cream," he interjected, wanting to make that clear. Benny had a serious sweet tooth; he was often the first to taste whatever he made. There were multiple reasons why he stayed at his job, but one of them had to be the sweet perks.
Benny chuckled softly, shaking his head. "I've been better," he clarified. Then he paused, unsure of how much to share in such a casual moment, especially with Kira's grandmother waiting on her tea. "It’s fine," he decided, furrowing his brows as he dropped his gaze. "It’ll be fine," he added, shrugging his shoulders as if to convince himself. "....One day at a time." He wasn’t sure what sharing his daily mantra would accomplish, but Benny said it almost to himself at that moment. He had no control over anything except how to maintain his peace, no matter how much he felt like he was losing his mind.
Upon hearing about Sugar Scoop's plans for expansion, Benny raised an eyebrow in interest and rested both hands on the marble counter for a moment. "A second location? That's great! Why isn't it doing well?" he asked. Benny had never considered the possibility of Everything Goes opening a second location, but now that he thought about it, it sounded like a pretty exciting idea. "If that's too personal, you don't have to say," he adds, letting out a chuckle. "Sugar's is really popular with townsfolk and visitors— you guys definitely deserve a second location."
Glancing back to the door as she heard it open, she made sure her grandmother settled at a table before she looked back to Benny. "Well as someone who has only recently been able to mean it when I tell people I'm alright, I am a decent listener, if you ever need one." Tilting her head a little towards her shoulder, Kira's heart went out to him. She might not have known what exactly was going on with Benny, but she knew what it felt like to have just been better. "If you do ever want to talk, you know where I am. I am literally over the road at most hours of the day so if you want to sit with an ice cream tub and a listening ear, you're always welcome."
Sighing a little, Kira reached up to gently rub a temple. "It is exciting, it's just a lot. I didn't set up the business, it was my grandmother's but starting a new shop from scratch is a lot." Especially when it was just her trying to do it all. "I don't know if two shops in town is a good business decision, I don't know if I'd want to split myself between two towns, there's just a lot more to it than I originally thought, you know? Post opening, I've got that down but the run up to that? It's not a breeze." Shrugging her shoulders, Kira tried to rid them of a little of the tension that took up residence in them whenever she thought about the second store. "I'll get there, somehow, but it might just be more delayed than I hoped." Reaching for the drinks, Kira glanced back to the table her grandmother had occupied. "Want to join the gossip queens and me or are you busy?"
Taking the fastest route to the local seafood restaurant hadn’t even been a question. Especially now seated in his current position, despite the overt fumbling that overcame him. After all, Levi intended making the most of the open seat he’d shamelessly stole away upon Kira’s offer. The other prospective occupant didn’t deserve the opportunity in the slightest anyway. That certainly proved satisfying.
“Good to know. I probably should be writing notes down on a napkin..” He mused with a hint of a grin, eyeing over the menu himself. Didn’t bother him in the slightest if Kira chose a known, favored dish. Provided him with essential details beyond preferred ice cream flavors. "Want to start off with anything?" Levi offered as Kira didn't have to jump straight into main courses. “I’m alright with yours knowing…every last one in town wanting me for introductions, though?...” Levi couldn’t help a slight wince at the mere though. Her grandmother would be the only one he’d be genuinely privy towards listening to. Otherwise, sounded rather horrific. “You can tell her to put in a word now, I wouldn’t mind.” No surprise that the woman seemed like a seasoned professional in that regard. Her granddaughter naturally should be looked out for in the highest esteem. He would be so lucky to even be considered as 'favored' from a family member of Kira's. “She sounds just as great as you are.”
"Oh, sure, I can always go for some calamari." Glancing over the menu, Kira nodded before closing it and placing it on the table. It was strange really that over the time they had known each other, she and Levi had talked so much and spent a lot of time together, but this was a whole new ball game. It wasn't the evening she had expected but she knew this was already better than the dinner she'd have shared if her original date had turned up. "I can guarantee someone in here will have seen this tonight and word will get out. Don't forget how small this town is." Smirking a little, Kira couldn't help but chuckle. "I'll let her know to keep them at bay. I'm ninety percent sure they have a club where they all sit down and discuss the eligible bachelors, so I'll get her to raise it." She laughed again, shaking her head. She might have been joking, but sometimes, she couldn't help but wonder.
Blushing a little, Kira smiled over the table at him. "Oh, I think she has me beat honestly. She's probably the best person I know. Both of my grandmothers are, in fairness." Reaching for her wine glass, Kira took a small sip before continuing. "Are your family around town or close by? Are you close?"
"I had to bring the couch back because I needed to pay rent, but I love how realistic you are. Plus you found good use for it and goldfish are dirt cheap." People even bought new ones instead of breaking their childrens hearts and telling them that their beloved pet was flushed down the toilet that same morning. "What did he name the fish?" It felt like a good question because she couldn't think of anything else other than Marvin. "Is the poor fish still alive?"
"If it doesn't go well and we're left scarred by the many bachelors of this town, I'll owe you a meal or whatever you want." Elsie was just happy to have someone accompany her and support her if things went wrong during the speed dating. "Of course, absolutely, and I will use the word without fear." Probably for no reason other than being scared of potentially liking someone because she tended to fall quick and hard. "I'm a fellow and long member of the cobweb club."
"I'll look at the email and forward the details." As she looked back at Kira, she wrapped her arm around her. "I'm lonely and miserable sometimes but I usually drink or watch a movie and it's all better. I promise it's not like, a problem, you know."
“He called it Albus. Boy is obsessed with Harry Potter.” Kira nodded, smiling a little to herself. “If you ask him, then yes the fish is still alive and definitely did not die when he went travelling for a month and I was looking after him.” Shrugging her shoulders, Kira glanced around as if it was her biggest secret. “If you ask me, then no it’s not the same fish still being alive because the little fucker died on me even though I took very good care of it.”
Tossing a pack of cookies into their cart, Kira glanced back at her friend, another smile on her lips. “I don’t think we can be scarred more than we already have been, right? I mean some of them are great but that generally means they’re already taken. Hence the scarred.” Not wanting to think too much about that situation, Kira simply shook her head. “But as your fellow card carrier, I will go with you, so just let me know.”
Wrapping her arm around Elsie, Kira leaned her head against the blonde’s. “Please just call me when you feel like this. I don’t want you sitting at home feeling lonely, just call me or turn up on my doorstep. I don’t mind either way.” Pressing a quick kiss to her blonde hair, Kira pulled back. “Seriously, I have a freezer full of ice cream, it’s the best cure. No one can be miserable with a pint or two of my ice cream, no judgement here.”
To the most beautiful, selfless woman I know. I’ll take any day to remind you how incredibly loved and appreciated you are. Can’t wait to see you later!
Alara let out a breathy chuckle, shaking her head as she glanced toward the counter. "Wow," she murmured, tapping her fingers against her arm. "Guess I should've expected that."
She met Kira’s gaze head-on, refusing to let the words sting—even though they did. Even though every syllable chipped away at whatever fragile hope she had clung to when she walked through that door and realized where she was.
Kira had always been Emil’s friend. Despite the three of them hanging out, Alara had always felt like she was on the periphery of their little threesome, the somewhat disposable piece of the puzzle, even when she and Emil had been dating. She knew Kira was a permanent fixture in the man she loved’s life. She, on the other hand, had never had that certainty and it had killed her. The way Kira had to have known how disposable Alara was to Emil had hurt her more than she had ever been able to express.
So she really should have expected Kira to be pissed at her for Emil’s sake. Really should have expected this reaction. But for some reason, she hadn’t. She’d held onto hope that maybe Kira, of all people, could be a friendly face. A fool’s hope, clearly.
"Look, I get it. You want to punish me, flex your authority and make sure I know just how unwelcome I am.” She took a deliberate step closer to the counter that separated them, arms still crossed but her posture rigid, unwavering. “But you know, for someone who’s all about sticking up for her friends, you sure do pick and choose which friends to stand up for.” Truthfully, what could Kira have done? If Alara were being objective, she would have to admit there had been nothing the brunette could do back then. It was no one’s fault, really, that Emil hadn’t been quite as invested in their relationship as she had been. But the sting of seeing how much more she cared for Emil than he did for her had hurt Alara in unreasonable ways and she wished that just once, someone could have stood up for her and her feelings, could understand why she’d left before Emil had inevitably torn her heart out.
Her jaw tightened, eyes locked onto Kira’s. "So go ahead, draw me that map. Just make sure you mark all the places I’m ‘banned’ from so I don’t make the mistake of thinking I ever had any friends here.”
She held Kira’s gaze for a long second before shaking her head. "Hope icing me out makes you feel better, Kira. Really." With that, she turned sharply on her heel and made for the door, forcing herself not to look back.
Raising her eyebrows slightly, Kira couldn't completely hide her shock at what Alara was saying. Kira was incredibly defensive of her friends, even more so now that she was more confident in herself, but she had never thought of herself as picking and choosing. "How am I picking and choosing which friend to defend, Alara? Last time I checked, friends don't disappear on friends without a word. So I'm struggling to see how being angry at you for being a crappy friend to me and abandoning my best friend is me being a bad friend to you, because I don't really see how you class me as a friend."
Maybe it wasn't fair that Kira harboured so much resentment towards Alara. They had known each other for as long as she'd known Emil after all and even though they had become closer during the time before Alara had left town, but having suffered so much loss in her life, maybe some of anger at that had redirected to her former friend. Not that she was ready to admit that. "Did you really think I was going to run up and hug you and get you an ice cream so we could catch up over the years? Yes you hurt my best friend, Alara but I thought we were friends too? So you didn't just leave him, you left everyone else too. Maybe I'm missing something here, but it feels like I'm just returning the sentiment you showed me back then."
Watching as Alara turned to leave, Kira scoffed. "I'm not icing you out because you're not in my life to ice out anymore. You made that choice and that's that. Maybe next time, don't abandon your friends and then you'll have some left."
