What I love about Wukong and MK dynamic is, in contrary to fandom wish for Feral MK to have an Angsty Falling out with Wukong. it will never be the Case.

MK spends his Entire life Idolizing Wukong, Read everything about Him in the story (Albeit, Lack of The Entirety of the plot itself in favor of Just reading About Wukong and Wukong Only). When He meet Him, He's not the typical "Never meet your idol" Kind of thing. Because MK realize Wukong didn't just Dump the task to MK out of laziness, He realize Wukong been watching over him (And he did Told MK that himself) It was a Cherry picking process, careful consideration, and Most importantly Trust In MK.

He even Came in check up on Him personally in the Weather episode, So again, it's not him dumping responsibility to MK. He wanted to make sure He's doing alright while letting the kid figure things out himself. And of let's not forget the whole Training side plot.

People ( LOOKING AT MEI /jkilymei ) quick to Judge Wukong for Leaving MK alone in all those "Dangerous" Quest, but in Reality, Wukong is just putting him on Guard Duty. remote Lessons even when he's Getting out of retirement and investigate things. While yeah He could have a conversation about It with MK, I feel like this part is Wukong just Don't want to Fill the kid's Head with anymore unnecessary Information. Wukong Knew MK would Freak out and probably try to do something on his own (Like how He just Go off trusting People like macaque)

Wukong Trust MK, But not Blindly. He's very Reasonably limited what he should or shouldn't know. And just because he hid parts of truth doesn't mean He's Incompetent and becomes a bad mentor. Also Fuck you Macaque WUKONG IS NOT A BAD MENTOR, YOU PUT MK TO A GRUELLING WORK THAT ACTUALLY HURTS HIS BODY YOURE STINKY. anyway I still love u Macaque.

MK knew Wukong trust Him, But very frustrated that there are things that are beyond his limits, and that's why he is more pushy onto getting Stronger. that's why we never really see MK getting angry at Wukong directly for anything that goes wrong. Okay except ep 9, He's Very frustrated that he doesn't get more training and getting chores instead. But back then he didn't understand, and Macaque being the gaslighting Girlboss he is, Put that in his head that Wukong Is limiting him. But at the end of the day, Wukong was trying to teach his Posture in attack. Which what save them both.

TLDR: Wukong and MK is An Alternative Plot of "Meeting your hero" Instead of "Your hero is stinky poo Irl" it's "Your hero is as great as they say but You get to know their Flaws too and you learn how they over come their Flaws to be the best they can be"

I'll never get tired of wukong prioritising mk's physical strength rather then his powers it's speaks so much about wukong as a character

he's not training mk to always win but rather so he can handle losing sometimes so he can handle it when he gets hit and can ender it he also priorities mk defence and focus in season one it's all stuff about self protection

he dodges and let mk attack only use some kicks so mk can block he wants mk to keep himself safe above anything else so can mk body handle his powers

Then in season 5 he change it up a little with a race properly to cheer mk up more then it being an actual training but he still use his same methods and it's not a bad thing for mk

it kinda puts into prospective especially in the first seasons mk thinks he's useless and nothing without his powers but wukong believes in mk not his powers to wukong mk is the one who's great not his powers

Looking back at my art between 2021 to now I still have a hard time believing it BUT I wont lie this show has honestly influenced me a lot of through out the years and honestly pushed me further to improving my craft!

I hope I'm not too late for the movement! Ive heard of the recent news about this show as of late and man I really dont want it end so soon! Not when there are so many more stories to tell! Not to mention the amount of love and care that went into each season it hurts to see such a story not have a final ending. So I call to all you fellow monkie fans to join on in and bring more attention to this show and to LEGO that we still want to see more monkie kid adventures!

- after seeing the memory of him killing macaque

- as he’s about to sacrifice himself in place of mk

- after mk’s sacrifice

- as he’s jumping up to catch mk when he comes back

- as he’s holding mk in his arms and saying “i got you”

- as he tells mk that he doesn’t want to lose him

To this day I think about why wukong chose mk like what do you mean "it felt right" elaborate what do you mean???

Like he was watching (more like stalking) mk for a while so it wasn't in the moment decision

maybe it's because mk has a relationship with the reincarnations of his old friends he assumed mk was ment to replace him

But it feels too crazy even for him to assume that a normal ass "human" can lift his staff and it's been confirmed by one of the writers that wukong didn't know mk was a stone monkey until s4 so why did he chose him

Why he was so sure that mk can lift the staff?

Did he just place everything on a feeling I need to know!!!
