i dont think wukong would want or be near ready to have a child bro. and if he was ready,, that child wouldnt be mk. tbh in this way if wukong was to eventually have kids id see it like peter and miles in itsv+atsv. the “im so proud of you :D! maybe i do want kids :|.” and the “i thought if i raised her right she’d be like you” both of these are quoted wrong for sure but like fr cut me some slack </3
wukong calls mk “kid” but like. speaking from mks pov, hes not one. sure to a lifespan like wukongs, mk was like. just born. but mk is an adult, at least (has to be 18+ to have a drivers license, but im like pretty sure hes in his early 20s). mk is grown up, and while he obv still needs a parental figure, wukong isnt, and has never been that.
its a disservice tbh to pigsy and tang raising him and being there for him and each other for his whole life to say that wukong, who like. just got here btw,, and immediately started jacking up everyones lives (no one hates wukong like people whos fav chr is wukong /lhj. i love him so much. but oh my god) is a father figure to mk. certainly hes someone mk looks up to, but he hasnt been there for mk. theyve both grown up completely separate, and while they absolutely are bff brother bestie bonded 4 life Noowww, well i mean . that clearly was not always the case.
hell, wukong didnt even want anything to do w him in s1 😭 hed pat him on the head go uuuhhh. believe in yourself…guy. and mk just would HSJDKGKG
also also even if its played off as a joke, the show does explicitly say “monkey kings not my dad. pigsys my dad!”
imo i just see them as the brotherly “ill do it if you do it” bickery mischievous creatures dynamic ,, theyre stupid but theyre stupid ✨🌈together🌈✨ i love them dearly. also im not posting this to argue LMAO idc if people view them as parent child, im just saying i personally dont.
sorry to break the sunburst streak </3 but i decided to shuffle my shadowpeach playlist and draw whatever song came up first. the song was creatures in heaven but i kind of started drawing a feeling more than the song LMAO but in my defense it gave me a clear idea and i havent had one of those in like a month.

name: jìng xiàoshí (静咲石)
his surname jìng (静) means quiet or calm and his fist name xiàoshí (咲石) means smiling stone. the shí (石) part of his name comes from the same shí as shí hóu (石猴) aka stone monkey aka wukong's first name before he became the monkey king and later sun wukong :]
he was given a name using part of wukong's original name partially because monkey king is a cultural icon in the lmk universe and its inevitable that people name their children in reference to celebrities but also especially being a monkey demon as well, theres even more of an influence. chinese names often reflect ideals for the person given it so he was given the name xiàoshí in hopes that he would have the strength (mentally or physically) of the monkey king but also do so with gentle kindness.

xiàoshí is dmab but also intersex. he learned he was intersex at the start of puberty! i havent fully decided what intersex condition he has but ive decided its something similar to partial androgen insensitivity syndrome (PAIS) or klinerelter syndrome. he also had gynocomastia but was able to get top surgery as a teenager, which is why he has those scars despite being dmab:

occupation: stage performer
xiàoshí's primary job is being a stage actor. he doesnt sing (hes actually got a pretty mid sinting voice) so no musicals. he is also professionally trained in dance (ballet and contemporary!) and acrobatics. he toured with a traveling circus for a few years before landing reaodency at the playhouse in megapolis, so he also does acrobatic performances and dance recitals in the off seasons. his favorite apparatuses are aerial silks, hoop (lyra) and dance trapeze. he is also trained on balance and ground acrobatics but prefers aerial arts more than anything.
fun fact: he regularly does yoga and tai chi to keep up his flexibility and physical strength!
personality:
despite his typecasts on stage being loud, confident, flirtatious men and damsel-in-distress women, xiàoshí is actually quite soft spoken. he has a gentle voice that serves as quite a contrast to the roles he portrays on stage. hes drawn to portrayals of romantic love and those are his favorite productions to be a part of because he's historically struggled to connect with people. he even loves valentine's day even though its pretty uncommon for people to celebrate it in china.
hes not a morning person by any means and early rehearsals are difficult for him. theyre the only time hes out of bed before noon. hes also quite fond of naps, being very sensory seeking and quick to just cozy up somewhere until the environment and conversations become more interesting. if xiàoshí's gone missing during a break in rehearsal, hes probably taking a nap in a dresseing room or the green room, though its not uncommon for him to drift off in more crowded places either.
he also is a bit nosy and, becquse hes so quiet, he ends up overhearing a lot of gossip. he doesnt spread it but boy he sure loves to hear it, and hes insanely curious about macaque's relationship with the monkey king. (did i mention its the same playbouse macaque does his shadow play at? yeah, he works there too but does solo work so they dont really cross paths)
background/The Lore:
he was a lonely child, diagnosed autistic early in his youth, and struggled to ever make friends. he cant mask for long periods of time, despite his skills as an actor, though his memorization for social situations is what helps him succeed as an actor. hes memorized scripts for real life and the stage, though he rarely masks these days because it drains him too much. he doesnt connect with his coworkers more than surface level and hates small talk. the way people tiptoe around asking for what they want frustrates him and his directness often rubs people the wrong way.
despite having no friends, his parents have been his #1 supporters since the day he was born and have been his best friends through his life. he loved fairy tales growing up, and still holds a place in his heart for any story with a "happily ever after", though this yearning for love was also his biggest source of insecurity. there were many, *many* times in his childhood where he would cry about never finding love because how could he find prince charming if he cant even make a friend?
this yearning for love and connection followed him into adulthood, though hed long given up any hope of his childhood dreams coming true. he settled for acting out romances through his roles on stage and the second best thing to intimacy he could get: casual sex.
here comes the sex talk lol: xiàoshí eventually gets a husband!
hes got quite an insatiable sex drive as an adult, and after work he can often be found at a club or bar looking for someone to sleep with. he is a strict bottom but is versatile in the vein of leading/following. he largely prefers being a power bottom with one night stands; he thrives under the spotlight and loves taking the lead. however, with a certain new coworker of his from the playhouse—a senior makeup artist named keqaing (who belongs to @momochr-0me :] everyone say hi to momo and keqiang)—things are a little different.

they already know each other causally from work, and xiàoshí doesnt have any issue letting their work and personal lives overlap. xiàoshí gets his shit rocked in the best ways possible but sometimes he takes the lead and humbles keqiang (evil grin)
they have quite a raunchy sexual dynamic and end up falling into quite a routine, ultimately dropping their other casual partners because their sexual needs and wants line up so well.
later on, as things tend to do, things get messy. they end up saying the night at each other's places, instead of leaving once the sex is done and they've both come down. keqiang makes him breakfast. they meet up after work but stay out in each other's company before falling into bed. feelings develop, and xiàoshí cant recognize them for what they are because hes never felt it before. keqiang notices and pulls back, having his own issues with accepting closeness and intimacy.
once xiàoshí realizes his feelings (read: his confusion as to why keqiang is putting distance between them and why xiàoshí starts to feel so nervous around him starts affecting his ability to perform on stage, and his manager has to spell out what hes feeling for him lol), he near immediately tells keqiang. he isnt one to wait around and isnt afraid to hear no, so hes direct and clear that if keqiang doesnt want this, that its fine, but xiàoshí knows what he wants and what he wants is a relationship with him. this freaks keqiang the fuck out, he literally leaves the city for a week before his little sister talks some sense into him and he goes back.
once hes back in the city, he tells xiàoshí he loves him, they both ugly cry and kiss or whatever. theyre happier and hornier than ever, they 1000% get noise complaints about it.

neither of them likes pda but their coworkers figure out pretty damn quick theyre together and keqiang isnt allowed to be xiàoshís makeup artist when xiàoshí has a lead role, because apparently neither of them can keep their hands to themselves behind a closed door. much love to the poor stage managers assistant who learned about their relationship when they went to tell xiàoshí there was 10 minutes before the curtain opens up for the audience. youre a real one.
after about a year of dating, they move in together, another year or so after that they get engaged (keqiang proposes after talking to xiàoshís parents about it, xiàoshí cries like a baby because his childhood dream of loving and being loved is realized, etc). they get married when theyre 30 with a lovely fall wedding on their anniversary, xiàoshí's a beautiful bride, their honeymoons cheap bc theyre just holded up in a hotel room for a week etc etc. these guys bone a lot
after they get married, they buy a house together. they make sure to have an extra room for keqiang's little sister in case she ever needs a place to stay. she is just as much xiàoshí's little sister as much as she is keqiang's.

ive thought a Lot about his character and life outside of all of this, things like the food he likes, his favorite music, his parents and his relationship with them, his relationship with the monkie kids (for example: him and mei are actually pretty good friends! they both like clubbing and going to music festivals). please feel free to ask about anything else Skrjfjfj
