Does Escargoon exist in this universe? If not, who do you think he would swap with?
I'm not including the anime continuity. I guess the clossest to a swap would be with Captain Vul. Like Escargoon would still be affiliated with Dedede, but mostly doing his own thing, like he sometimes shows up with a dish to talk how things have been.
It isn't a very good swap since we barely know Vul. He's the one put in charge when MK is away. He doesn't fight, just flies the Halberd. A Star Allies Rock implies they are still close. A twitter pic, that they are still friends. Vul technically stays unchanged.
Anyway, since Dedede feels so defeated, he might feel bad that this snail and waddle dee are still hanging out with him.
Hello, so I've been thinking, is the name of my AU confusing since not all characters are swapped; and those who are, aren't done in the same way. So I want to ask you.

Kirby stays the same. He just arrives later in Autumn. I decided to keep him unswapped as I like the vision of him being surrounded by a different version of his friends.
He's not the only one unchanged. Characters like Elfilin, Nightmare and Morpho Knight for example remain the same. Just in slightly different circumstances.

Ok, imagine Adeleine Primachroma, but with greyish blue skin. RGB swapped with CMY. Most of her body covered in bpack paint with color streaks and higlights. More or less a melting zombie of mixed colors.
what exactly is the Swap AU about and is Kirby technically the same as he is in the original games?
Different characters get swapped with each other rolewise and surroundings wise. A handful just are because, but many are due to something happening in the past. Is whatever I deem interesting.

I'm still thinking. I guess she technically swaps with Landia, but not literally, just in role. I have seen some cool warrior redesigns.
It's been a while since the last entry for this AU. Today we have two wanderers that eventually made it to Planet Pop Star, Marx and Adeleine!
A travelling circus performer who made his way to Planet PopStar. With his treasured beach ball, the jester is looking to entertain the local denizens. When Dark Matter took over his mind, he displayed all sorts of flashy attacks. Thankfully Kirby managed to free him. Marx looked quite shaken then, but now he returned to his jolly self.
Marx here is just a funny guy, going from place to place performing all sorts of circus acts. No crazy or world conquering ambition at all.
I felt that acrobatics and balancing acts could be to this Marx as painting and drawing is to canon Adeleine. Since he takes her role, he'd be possessed by Dark Matter twice (I consider Ado and Adeleine to be the same this time to not overcomplicate this AU).
He would also be in the party during The Crystal Shards along Meta Knight and Sailor Dee. I still need to think on what each would do mechanically.
He becomes friends with Magolor, who still retains his interests in theme parks.

Adeleine the wandering art student which settled in Planet PopStar. She once got Kirby to summon a Comet Nova by tricking everyone to think the Sun and Moon were fighting. It was all a ploy to grant her wish to be able to reshape Kirby's home. Thankfully our pink hero stopped her. Since then, she can be found time to time causing minor mischief.
She got swapped with Marx, what did you expect? She's deranged and mischievous all the way, but I still wanted to keep the artist part. We do have art-related villains, but I think I make her distinct enough.
Adeleine does want to paint the world to her liking like Drawcia and can steal color like Dark Crafter, but she can't do it by force as she is physically weak, forcing her to use trickery through a shy persona.
From an event in the past, she can now drain color of objects though her paintbrush and not make living paintings but also tap into the unique properties of the paint, after all paint is part of an object's soul. Like red generates heat. White shines. Purple puts to sleep.
Her wished to Nova turned her into Adeleine Prima Chroma, in which her paintbrush can now has an infinite supply of every color. It was destroyed in the explosion.
She comes back after being defeated by Kirby, but she knows to not cross him again. Paintbrush back to normal.
Honestly this swap pair was made because of my favorite one Magolor and Ribbon, so I hadn't much planned for these two. But after putting more thought and fleshing them out. I think it tuned so fun.
You seek to fix me, but you cannot. Who I was before I despise. Quiet & bland, someone who goes unnoticed by the masses. But now as I am, I can finally be seen. My work can be seen. Why would I change that?
I don’t know if I’ll ever share my Kirby story involving Ado, but the fact that she’s not only using Nova for evil, but also is MARX would probably get my version of her pretty mad, given what he has done!
Oh darn. Now I'm curious. But I want to clarify that when I mean she's weak, I mean physically as in glass canon. Just like in Star Allies, so she uses her painting for her biding. Also this time is Marx who gets possessed twice, which let's say, brings him dark memories.
