Lol I wanna revive crochet tumblr.

So everyone on this side of tumblr post what you’re currently working on. How many times you’ve frogged it (had to take it down and re-do it for those who aren’t familiar with the term.) and if you haven’t yet, post how many times you’ve lost count of your stitches or what row you were on.

I’ll go first.

I’m working on an apple plushie and I’ve lost count at least 10 times and frogged it 30 times BECAUSE ROUND 8 IS MY WORST NIGHTMARE

Doll is done, well some really tiny touch ups to do but its all there. I have never made doll clothes before so that was an adventure.

It stands about 20inches tall, has jointed arms and neck, legs, tail, arms and hands are wired.

Took a while but was fun to make

Im five days behind on prompts so lets go!

Prompt 4: how long have I been crafting?

Ever since I can remember! I remember being VERY little and doing various creative things. But in terms of classifyable hobbies, probably started 15+ years ago.

Prompt 5: how do I organize?

Ive been meaning g to reorganize actually, since my current method of "stick things on a shelf or in a box" isnt exactly cutting it...

Prompt 6: do you keep a craft journal?

No, but thats a fantastic idea! I should start!

Prompt 7: Progress update!

Got my head printed aside from 3 parts (mid head, nose, eyes)

Jaw is skinned, got some fur on, jawset printed and one half felted. Still needs a tongue, tho.

Prompt 8: how did I learn?

I first learned from my mom (who learned from her mom) when I was very little. I couldn't do more than a daisy chain. Then I forgot about it until about 10 years ago. Then I retaught myself based on yt videos and patterns other people made and put up for free! Shout out to aphid7777 on DA bc they're basically the ones who taught me what I know by following their patterns. Lol

Prompt: best/worst habit

My best habit is probably writing down every pattern I make!

My worst habits are losing where I put my patterns despite having a dedicated binder for them and also just not finishing things lmao.

Prompt: how do you plan?

To put it simply, I usually don't too much.

But when I do plan, its kinda like this. I plan for what shapes I need to make, write down my pattern as I go, and trial and error til its done lmao. Sometimes I make part lists to keep my head from being too jumbled, but thats about it.

Dusting off this blog for naknicromo2026, im like 3 days late but I finally figured out what I wanna do!

Day 1: goals

My goal this year is to finish my crochet fursuit head. At minimum. Ive decided my fursona is gonna be a custom variant monster from monster hunter. I call them Thundersnow Barioth!

Im still 3d printing the head base, but I got enough of it printed that I can start crocheting the skin.
