So I showed her to the owner to get some perspective. They loved her. Sometimes your expectation as the person making something is not the same as the person receiving and it's good to have a check in.

Sometimes you just learn a lesson

Sometimes it isn't until a project is basically finished that you sit back and look at it as a whole, in the light of day, and think...I could do this better.

I have that with this girl. A memorial cat. The brief was himalayan/persian type. Folded ears, seal point colouring, a couple of light patches if possible. Blue eyes. Ideal position would be with front legs that could sit with crossed paws.

I was looking at her today, thinking of how I would present her when completely finished, yet to add the patches and thought....I'm not happy with her.

Her front legs are too short to cross with a nice visible bend, and paws too thick to sit...nicely?

The issue with having a flatter face face is that she resembles a bear. Need a trimmed down mouth just a little to show the actual mouth

There's wire in the tail so it can be posed - I really love that. But where are the hips!!!! We've just got leg. This could be improved.

The front legs also have wire so can be posed

In summary, she's beautiful. I love her. But, I want to remake her having learned a few lessons.

The brown fur needs to be darker

The front legs need to be longer to bend nice for posing

The back legs need to attach nicer - hips!

The body could be shorter, chunkier, more shapely

Paws overall less chunky
