Citrus Scale equivalents

ORANGE = Teen and up audiences (T+) : PG-13 : Provocative poses, female-presenting-nippes, mentions of making out or semi-smexy acts.

LIME = Mature (M) : NC-17 : Non overly-explicit sexual acts. Like a couple doing the do but without the genitals showing, or a description of the act.

LEMON = Explicit (E) : R-18 : Overly-explicit sexual acts. All the in-n-outs and body fluids on display, very graphic descriptions of vanilla boinking or regular kinks (ex: light spanking, edging, roleplay) 

GRAPEFRUIT = (No ao3 equivalent, but usually requires warnings) : Extremely kinky or morally faulty topics, weird and extreme fetishes. (Ex: pain kink, slave/master, u.nderage, n.on-con, knifeplay, petplay, watersports, tentacles, etc.)

For the people seriously asking why we are moving back to the citrus scale and what the citrus scale even is. 🍋

What is the citrus scale you ask-

Make sure you tag appropriately.

Why are people doing this? Anything tagged n s f w is completely removed from search results. This means no more followers or likes and artists struggle to find people to commission them. Tumblr has a huge fan base. With the ban, the fans dispersed. This ban that was supposed to get rid of the bots didn’t even do the job and has punished everyone else along with it. Personally, all of my posts got deleted.

I strongly suggest people not wanting to see the content to block the lemon, grapefruit, lime, and smut tag. 🍋

Also, it is super vintage straight from the mid-2000s and that’s so fetch. I haven’t used this scale since middle school, wow. 🍋
