Kisame Week 2026 Event Timeline & Info 🦈

It’s the moment folks have been waiting for, Kisame Week 2026, our sixth year running the event in celebration of our favourite shark man.

Event Timeline:

Prompt Submissions: Open until 19 April

Prompt Voting: 20 April - 3 May

Prompt Release: 4 May

Posting: 19 July - 26 July

This year, we’re shaking things up with a bingo board style prompt list. Consisting of 24 prompts and a free space for Any AU, you’ll be able to post multiple times throughout the posting period, or once and link out your works from there.

Most of the rules have not changed, so we’ll be recycling some of the old posts from previous years, and adding new ones where needed.

At first I just wanted to remember how to draw his face, and then I thought it was inappropriate to use sketches alone, I wanted some kind of quick coloring, but it didn't work out very quickly. I wanted to draw him squinting suspiciously.

Hey there! Just wondering about the specific schedule for the days. Since there are 24 prompts but only 7 days, are there gonna be more than one prompt per day or can people just upload all art whenever during the 7 days without a specific prompt per day?

Hello hello!

Great question! For Kisame Week 2026, people can upload their creations whenever they’d like across the 7 days.

Some people may choose to share a few per day or even all linked in the one post with their marked off bingo card included.

Mods will create an example post to help others who may have the same question.

Kisame Week 2026 Prompt Release 🦈

Prompts have been released into the wild and creation time starts now!

Posting will be between 19 - 26 July.

As a reminder, pretty much everything goes, so long as it's not Al-generated. Fics, Art, gif sets, headcanons, oneshots, blurbs, feel free to do whatever your heart desires!

Do we have a date for Kisame week this year?

Hello!

Typically, Kisame Week is held during Shark Week, so usually around July/August. This year, Shark Week falls on July 20th, so that week will be the most likely date.

We will have some announcements soon regarding, so keep your eyes peeled!

Day 2 - Jaws 50th Anniversary

Featuring @melodiouswanderer 's oc, Sunofureko! Suno is Kisame's daughter. Here she and her pals Fuu and Haku are playing "Jaws" where of course dad Kisame plays the role of the big scary shark. And everyone lives, duh. Unless one of the kids feels like acting out a tragic death scene.

(Why were these 8 year olds allowed to watch Jaws? Just ask Hidan, who is never allowed to babysit again.)

Soooooo KisameWeek was over a month ago, but the muse went on strike halfway through working on this piece and recently came back 💀 Glad to have finally gotten it completed!

This was meant for @kisames-corner's kisame week, although it ended up needing longer to cook lmao. For the "Any AU" prompt I thought it might be fun to come up with a 'bronze age aegean' AU!
