Henry calmly took his daughter’s chubby legs in his hand and blew raspberries on her feet in the attempt to cease the kicking.
“Look at us, America. We’re not married, we have a love child together, and we’re in my bedroom with my mother down the hall from us. We have no privacy from her and besides, she’s doing good. She has – she’s been off the bottle for two years now, she’s got a great job and we’ll stay close, we won’t move out of the city. I’d like to - the only way I could have enough money to afford a place outside is if I followed my father’s footsteps,” he chuckles, “kidding, I’m kidding.”
Henry earned a giggle from hi daughter, who instead wiggled and smiled as he blew on her feet.
With a snort, America shook her head, a smile pulling at her lips. “Well, I guess it’s settled then, we’ll start looking for a place tomorrow.” Leaning forward, she pressed a kiss to the top of Rosa’s head, causing the baby to look up to her mother and distract her long enough for Henry to put a fresh diaper on her.
