#this is it #this is all she ever needed #just surrounded by a few people who love her and are there to support and encourage her #i am so FREAKING happy she finally got that
Itâs Just a Movie. Itâs Just a Show.
Back to the Future helped me get through the hardest month of my life ten years ago.
Love, Simon made me feel more comfortable with aspects of my identityâŠ
Which I now embrace through a love for chick flicks.
âVeronica Marsâ helped me get through high schoolâŠ
And âDoctor Whoâ helped get me through my first year of college.
I was able to bond with my dad over our mutual appreciation of Coen Brothers moviesâŠ
Deadpool gave us a way to properly express how much we hated his cancerâŠ
And âBrooklyn Nine Nineâ is helping me deal with his passing.
Zombieland taught me how to laugh againâŠ
And The Imitation Game taught me how to cry.
âAvatar: The Last Airbenderâ provided storytelling which challenged me as a childâŠ
While shows like âStatic Shockâ opened my eyes to cultures & experiences other than my own.
Bandslam was a movie so close to my life as a 13 year old it felt like Iâd written itâŠ
While How to Train Your Dragon showed me that just because I was a weirdo didnât mean I was alone.
The Book of Life helps me feel more comfortable about deathâŠ
And âThe Good Placeâ encourages me to life a full life.
âCrazy Ex-Girlfriendâ makes me feel more comfortable about talking about my mental health issues.
Chicago got me through pneumonia.
Planes, Trains & Automobiles is a Thanksgiving tradition in our home.
I feel closer to my mom because of Harry PotterâŠ
To my brother because of Lord of the RingsâŠ
And to the rest of my family because of Disney films.
People say, âItâs just a movie,â or, âItâs just a show,â like thatâs minimizes it, but it doesnât.
âJust a movie,â means it is a storytelling device that resonates with people.
âJust a show,â means it is something people can come back to when they need it.
Entertainment, storytelling, and art have the power to inspire peopleâŠ
To change them, to help them deal with their lifeâŠ
To connect with othersâŠ
And to see themselves represented in ways they never thought they would.
So if something is just that, then I think thatâs pretty great.
Carol: Iâm asking for your permission to date your sister.
Pietro: What is this? The dark ages? You know what, since you asked, no, you canât. Beat me in a duel.
Meghan Markle on losing her voice during her time with the Royal Family, but finding her voice again with her freedom.
8 years later and still the funniest thing in television history
No but Vision and Wanda had planned to grow old together in a little house and Vision wrote it in a little heart I'm NOT OKAY
every single person keeping up with wandavision:
for reference this is edwardâs reaction to bella using a hair dryer
say it with me everyone, leah clearwater deserves the world
yeah, iâm team edward, but let me be clear: iâm only this way because iâm mentally ill, hate myself, and love pain. if you enjoy life, iâd highly recommend falling in love with a werewolf. this is the healthy choice
