2017 marked the 20th anniversary of the original airing of Revolutionary Girl Utena. exactly 20 years ago today, the series ended with the final episode “Someday, Together, We’ll Shine" 

Utena is widely considered one of the best, more influential, most interesting anime series of all time- it’s a little embarrassing to say, but in my opinion it’s one of the most incredible pieces of fiction of all time. it’s definitely important to me, at least. so i wanted to do something for today.

i like to believe, twenty years later, they are still together.

So I’ve been gone for a while, mostly because work has been pretty intense for quite some time, but I think I’m ready to get back into posting stuff on a regular(ish) basis. For now though all I have are warm up sketches that I’ve compiled from the past few months…most of which are fan art. First batch are from Revolutionary Girl Utena.

I discovered this show almost two years ago and I have never been so deeply captivated and utterly blown away by any TV series, animated or otherwise. All of Kunihiko Ikuhara’s work is really amazing and definitely worth a watch, but Utena is, in my opinion, truly a masterpiece.

Also the sketches Utena and Anthy working out together were inspired by this post (x)

Are you making a sequel for Dream of Gluttony? If not, could you tell us more about Bread, Cinnamon, and Chilli’s reason’s for coming to the town? Pretty please?

Hi! There will be no sequel, but characters from fire camp and Dreamy Rose will appear in some other games that I have planned~

For the reasons, Bread is there to accompany Butter, so he does not have any trauma or anything like this. Cinnamon is there because of their fascination with death, which was shown by the mini-game inside the morgue at the back of the shop, but I noticed that a lot of people missed that, so I guess it was my fault ^^”. And Chilli is a mystery, so you can guess by yourself~

Emmie is a childhood friend of Niel. They went to the same school, college, and now they are working together. She cares about him and wants to help him deal with his problems.

I am super excited to announce, that I finished all illustrations for His Fragile Mind! There is going to be much more art than in Dream of Gluttony, aaand I used a really different style for them~.
