Before the exams, we gave Ma'am Magtibay our gift for her birthday. The next day, Me and eyra went to Joseph's and had a great time at their shop.
And then after the exams, we went out to eat at mcdonals with Ma'am Magtibay.

THE FINAL PLAY: ASCIMA'S BASKETBALL FINALS ACTIVITY
After months of being taught of basketball, it is now time to test the knowledge that we have attained. As part of the opening program of the finals, there was a muse and escort presentation that I was unexpectedly picked by our class.
After the games, we went to Eyra's to have a girls sleepover for Cyril's photoshoot for her birthday. It was a fun night and we enjoyed each other's company 'til the next day as we cooked and watched a movie.
It's Sir Manding Day!
For Sir Manding's birthday, we got him a pair of socks, a white t-shirt and sando. He was one of our instructors during the 1st semester that we love dearly. We are beyond grateful for the lessons and wisdom that he shared with us.
A little escape
After weeks of stressful preparation, we had a little time to just hangout for a bit. While we were at Eyra's we also wrote our notes for several subjects. It was fun and refreshing.
RANDOM THINGS: A DAY FULL OF ADVENTURE
Thursday's now have become more hectic, after a day full of lecture we still have to attend our PE class then a quiz after that. It was the 1st year students' science fair, Hazel wanted to have a photo to the Madagascar Theme booth of 1C.
After a long tiring day at school, me and my cousins went out to buy snacks and ended up having mcdo.
My sweet grandmother also gave me snacks as she said I could bring it to school the next day, she knows how hectic it could be when we are at school that's why she always makes sure that I eat and is well rested.
ANOTHER ONE FOR THE BOOK: WEATHER FORECASTING
One of the final activity that we are tasked to do is the weather forecasting. I was so nervous that I kind of forgot the proper sequencing of my weather report, thankfully I still managed to keep talking and almost finished it. I must say that for a first timer in this kind of activity I kind of done a good job:)
NEXTGEN PARTYLIST
From the very first time that I have entered Kolehiyo ng Lungsod ng Lipa, I have dreamed of becoming an SEC officer. During the enrollment day, I have seen both Ate Pura the then BSED Representative and Sir RJ the then BEED Representative and from that moment I know that I would want to be like them.
And the first step to that dream was graced to me with the help of ate pura, she introduced me to Sir James who was the running President of the NextGen Partylist. I was happy to be part of this NextGen Family, they were loud and welcoming. A set of students who are ready to lead and be the voice of the students.
Now that I am at the end of my term as the elected BSED Representative, I am sad to know that I was not able to fully fulfill my responsibility to represent the Bachelor Of Secondary Education, I failed to inspire another student leader to lead and represent the BSED. I am regretful of it
ASCIMA DAY '26
As a first timer in this celebration, I had a lot of expectations and was excited to finally experience this much awaited event.
The preparation was draining, exhausting, and not what I have expected it to be. A lot of unexpected things happened, there were set backs on our group and the preparation itself was I don't know. But the good thing was bonded more with my classmates who are my groupmates during the event.
During the event, I honestly do not know how to feel, I must admit there were fun happenings but I was just so drained at that point. I even cried and just wished the day would end immediately, probably needed a hug but I just cried instead.
Demonstration: Final block, for Cell and Molecular Biology and Waves and Optics
For our final output in Cell and Molecular Biology and Waves and Optics our instructor sir Ian decided that we must have a demonstration teaching with the topics he had discussed to us in the midterm block. It was a nerve wrecking demonstration teaching as 2 major subjects are in line. I made sure to prepare and execute my lesson plan in the best of my ability.
In the end, I have successfully finished my demonstration teaching. Sir Ian gave his insights and suggestions so that I can improve my demonstrations in the future.
This week was also our preparation week for the ASciMa Day 2026, it was a hectic and stressful week for me.
Different Kit in A Week
My week started very different, it started with a road trip to main with Joseph and ended with me crying on the way home.
Unfortunately, I had an accident after we got back from main campus. I got slightly bitten by a dog and needed to have anti-rabies shots immediately. In which made me cry a bit as I was supposed to take a quiz and have my reporting at the same day.
That was the first version of Kit this week: A Crybaby Kit
The next day, I then went to San Celestino to celebrate fiesta with my friends. We sang and ate a lot during that time, even though I had restrictions on what to eat I still managed to have fun. We are also starting to prepare for the ASciMa day, which is a very exciting event for us. I also had the chance to have a chat with my schoolmate before at my previous school, which is quite refreshing.
That was the second version of Kit this week: Happy Kit (both in heart and tummy!)
In the following day, we then had a free solo and group pictorial from NAPSEA. Together with my fellow officers, we had a great time having our pictures taken. As I am reflecting for the last few weeks of our term, I have realized how I have gained more experience and knowledge from my journey as a student-leader. I have seen how things work, the ugly and beautiful way. I have expected more, I have hoped more, and I wish I could've done more. I am now looking for the same kind of ambition I had last year when I have decided to take this path, but that same young lady is not here anymore.
The third version of Kit this week: The Student-Leader No More Kit
The cherry on top of this week is the pictorial of the BiniGay candidates. We had the pictorial in Talisay, it was fun because my friends were the candidates and the make-up artists. It was tiring yet fulfilling, it all turned out beautiful.
The fourth and final version of Kit this week: A Tired yet Happy Kit!
Borrowed Brilliance: Issues of Plagiarism in the Philippines
During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, controversy sparked when a popular YouTube math educator pointed out that a rushed DepEd TV algebra lesson used scripts, problem scenarios, and visual explanations identical to a video he had published months prior. In response to the plagiarism accusation, Department of Education executives acknowledged the oversight and explained that teacher-broadcasters were under immense pressure to generate content quickly. Ultimately, the teacher involved apologized for the incident, and the controversial episode was pulled from broadcasting for revisions.
The acclaimed "It's More Fun in the Philippines" tourism campaign was hit with plagiarism allegations right at its 2012 launch when critics discovered that Switzerland had used a nearly identical slogan back in 1951. Despite the striking similarity, the Department of Tourism (DOT) maintained that the overlap was a pure coincidence and argued that the phrase was simply a common English expression. Consequently, the government stood by the tagline, and the campaign proceeded to become a massive global marketing success.
In 2013, a University of the Philippines (UP) graduate student named Mark Joseph Solis won a photo contest sponsored by the Chilean Embassy using a powerful image of a smiling boy. However, a major controversy erupted when it was discovered that the photo actually belonged to Gregory John Smith, a social worker who had taken it in Brazil, and that Solis had simply cropped the original image to enter it as his own. As a swift consequence of the plagiarism, Solis was stripped of his prize, faced administrative proceedings initiated by UP, and ultimately issued a public apology.
These three cases show that copying others' work happens for different reasons, ranging from pure coincidence to extreme pressure or deliberate cheating. While some mistakes happen because people are rushed by impossible deadlines, outright stealing a person's work always leads to severe consequences. Ultimately, these stories remind us that we must always respect other people's ideas and give them credit.
THE TRUTH OR A LIE
Plagiarism is more than just copying someone else’s work; it is a form of dishonesty that affects learning, creativity, and trust. Although it is punishable by law and considered unethical in academics, many students still commit plagiarism because of pressure, lack of time, and the easy access to information on the internet. With just a few clicks, students can copy ideas, essays, or research from online sources, making plagiarism seem like a simple shortcut to finish school requirements quickly.
However, relying on plagiarism does not help students grow intellectually. Instead of developing critical thinking, writing skills, and creativity, students become dependent on the work of others. In the long run, this habit can damage a student’s credibility and reputation. Academic works are meant to measure a student’s understanding and effort, so copying defeats the true purpose of education.
At the same time, plagiarism can sometimes happen unintentionally, especially when students do not know how to properly cite sources or paraphrase information. This shows the importance of teaching academic integrity and responsible use of the internet. Students should learn that using sources is acceptable as long as proper credit is given to the original author.
In reflection, while the internet makes information easy to access, students should use it as a tool for learning rather than as a shortcut for convenience. Honesty, discipline, and originality are important values that every student must practice. True achievement comes not from copying the work of others, but from the effort and knowledge gained through one’s own hard work.
CRAZY AND FUN
It was a crazy yet fulfilling ride of events before, during, and even after Eco Day. Weeks of preparation went into making the event successful papers had to be prepared, plans had to be finalized, and many people had to be coordinated with. Despite the challenges and pressure, we pushed through everything with each other’s support and the active participation of the student leaders. In the end, all the hard work paid off, and Eco Day became a successful and meaningful event.
After the event, we also got the chance to attend SINAG Night for a while. It was a fun and memorable experience filled with energy and excitement. Although it was unfortunate that we had to go home early and could not stay until the end of the event, we still enjoyed the time we spent there and appreciated being part of such a wonderful celebration.
When you think life is finally getting better, that’s when the most unexpected thoughts begin to creep in.
After a long day of duty and school, the quiet moments on my way home have started to fill with what ifs. I never thought I would feel this kind of pain again.
When you give someone your full trust, love, and attention when you start to picture a future with them one random evening can turn all of that into something painfully fragile. I gave him everything I could, and yet I am left here, shattered. How do I come back from this? How do I learn to trust again? What if I hadn’t seen those things would I still be blindly happy? What if I forgave him and let him back into my life would anything ever feel the same? I asked myself, “Is this the kind of love I want for the rest of my life?” And deep down, I know the answer is no.
What hurts the most is not just what I saw, but the realization that I gave everything I had and still ended up in pain. All those times I cried, asking for the love I deserved but never fully received. I never imagined I would reach a point where I would ask God to remove him from my life if he isn’t meant for me.
But one thing is certain I will not let him back into my life. I am not in pain because I still love him; I am grieving the version of him I once believed in, the future I built around that version. But maybe that version was only an illusion someone I chose to see, even when he wasn’t truly that person.
Now I’m left with one question, were those happy moments ever worth the pain I feel now?
My life now revolves around my friends, family, and school—whether it involves leadership or academic activities.
We had an online meeting in the council where we discussed many things that were long overdue. It was a sad realization that, as a student council, we were not able to fully use our power to be the voice of the students. Our term is about to end, but we still hope to create a change that can impact other KLListas.
It was my papa’s birthday, and we had a small celebration for him. I do not have many memories of celebrating birthdays with our whole family complete, as my papa has been working abroad since my siblings and I were young. Because of that, I can hardly remember birthdays with him present. Despite this, we still made sure he felt loved and celebrated on his special day.
My young niece saw me watering my plants and asked if she could help. I said yes, and she happily watered them with me. It made me proud to see that, at just six years old, she is already interested in these kinds of activities.
On a random Sunday, my Senior High School friends and I decided to celebrate a fiesta at our friend Chelzy’s house. We were almost complete, with only Bernadette and Analette missing, but we still had a fun time talking with them. I never expected that their presence would heal something in me. Those two years with them were the best and most meaningful part of my high school life.
In line with our campaign, we launched the Ultimate Campus Influencer. We became quite busy with it, as there were documents that needed approval and details that had to be cascaded about the activity. Eyra and some of our other friends were planning to join the campaign, so they brought a camera with them. While they had not started filming yet, we asked Joseph to take a photo of us. However, in the end, they were not able to submit their output for the UCI.
My papa’s birthday was just around the corner, so I asked Hazel and Adrian to come with me since my sister wanted to buy a cake for our small celebration.
Environmental Stewards—this is a role every human being should take part in. We are the problem, but we are also the solution.
We often take what we want and expect Mother Nature to keep giving endlessly. However, you cannot give what you do not have. This gardening activity, given by Mrs. Magtibay, taught me two important lessons: first, it is fulfilling to have your own accessible garden; and second, it is okay to ask for help when things become difficult.
After growing this garden, most of the vegetables I planted were consumed by our family, and I was even able to share some with my grandmother, who loves vegetables. My mom and sister also helped me build the garden, turning it into a simple yet meaningful bonding activity.
As the saying goes, “We do not inherit the Earth from our ancestors; we borrow it from our children.” This reminds us that we must take care of the environment not just for ourselves, but for future generations. Through this experience, I realized that even small actions, like gardening, can make a meaningful difference.
