also i noticed this picture in Wukong's new house for the first time last night and it's driving me nuts;

that's EXACTLY what the monkeys did to Macaque and i'm so insane about it. look at how stiff he is. i fully believe he froze up when the camera was pointed at him so the monkeys jumped on top of him to make him smile-

I feel into temptation and made a shadowpeach AU

The Trapped Lantern AU

Basically it play on the fact/concept of in the season 2 episode "shadow play" where Macaque trapped Pigsy, Tang, and Mei within the lantern.

And here we are.

This AU does have it that Wukong and Macaque have not meet prior to MK finding the lantern, so the whole thing with Macaque’s death will be a bit tough to work with but I’ll make that a problem for future me. I mostly want it be that Wukong and MK attempt to figure out how to release Macaque from his little prison while along the way Wukong and Macaque getting to know each other and falling for each other n’ such.

For some restating from the pic:

Macaque was trapped within the lantern after being tricked by a demon (a icey one) when said demon had offered him another chance at life. When MK finds said lantern (basically after the first few episodes of s1) and brings it to Wukong thinking that he might have some idea of what it is due to the energy that’s practically oozing from the lantern. When neither of them can come up with a suitable answer for the lantern’s power, it’s left with Wukong for safe keeping; until one quiet day (s1 episode when Macaque is introduced) and the shadow finally reveals himself.

That’s all I have at the moment, hope this was a decent bite into what I have in store.
