moon marrow
i made a human design for flins' lantern!
his name is "lew," which is lion in polish. flins, the deity, is portrayed with a lion on his shoulder. to mirror flins' long robes and polearm i chose shorter clothes and a closer combat type. he lacks flins' politeness, playing on the "roar" in "roaring fire"
"does that make you a "moon goddess"?" - not explicit spoilers, but implied

Hi, i been seeing you art for a while and it has to be one of the prettiest art i have seen and i just wanted to ask how do you get the ideas or creativity to create and if its no wrong to ask how did you become a character design artist?
Sorry if its a bit invasive i just really love your art
hi! thank you very much! it's not invasive at all, but my explanation is pretty long so i will put it below >>

Helloooo
im a fellow digital artist and I gotta say, I want to eat your drawings. They are just- literally incredible with your colors and how natural the poses are- I have to ask, how do you work with coloring the ocs you make? Do you add it on before or after sketches? Do you decide on color pallets in the moment or after the sketch? Hope ur day/night is going well!!
hello, thank you! i switch things up! it's whatever comes naturally to me at the time. since my blog is gaining a new audience from my song designs, this will touch on how i make those specifically. my more formal designs take longer and have a different process. as for timing: sometimes i color before (self-fill lasso tool for silhouette > clip new layer above and use the same tool to color on the new layer > sketch freely on a new loose layer on top.) sometimes i color after (sketch freely with minimal cleanup > magic wand select empty space around sketch > invert selection > fill with gray > clip new layer on top of gray > lasso tool color) as for choosing which colors to use: the palettes are always decided in the moment, but i find that i focus a lot on how the music makes me feel. colors and feelings are closely tied - like a dull blue for something sad, or a bright orange for something warm, etc. so that definitely influences my choices.
Is it difficult to do digital art? Honestly, I want to start doing that, but the only thing I'm good at is drawing on paper and pencil, and I don't have professional equipment for digital drawing either. What do I do?
here's the wonderful thing about your situation: most people who try something new aren't going to be good at it more good news is that you don't need professional equipment to start drawing digitally. i've noticed many that are looking to transition into digital art break their wallets getting brand new equipment, but that's completely unnecessary! especially if you try it and find out you just don't like it i started with paper and pencil and was exclusively traditional for many years. my first year or two drawing digitally i used mainly ms paint and flash. flash wasn't even a drawing program tldr; you don't need anything fancy to start and it's completely expected that you're not going to be an expert right away. that's the point of learning. just start. be bad on purpose and enjoy the process
