A second season of Anne with an E?
A question on everyone’s minds is whether Anne the Series (aka Anne with an E) will get a second season. We have some info starting to come out on that topic…
Anne is a joint production between the Canadian television channel, CBC and the worldwide distributor Netflix. For the show to continue, both parties need to agree to fund more episodes. A recent article explains the following…
“There’s a simple, yet frustrating, reason a second season of Anne wasn’t announced at CBC’s upfront presentation on Wednesday morning. Netflix has yet to weigh in on its commitment to a sophomore go-round of Anne Shirley’s adventures in Avonlea.
“[A second season announcement] is pending,” Sally Catto, general manager, programming at CBC told us. “It’s a partnership and they’ve just started broadcast it.”
In shorter terms, for there to be a Season 2 of Anne, it has to do well on Netflix and they have to say ‘yes’ to doing more. The show’s producers want to do five seasons of the show, but that’s dependent on it being renewed. I figure fans can exert a bit of pressure to hopefully help that happen. Here’s a cheat-sheet!
Get people to watch! Ultimately these decisions are a numbers game. So having a high view count on Netflix or on CBC Online is helpful. If you know people who might enjoy the show, encourage them to watch!
Reach out to the networks! Drop a line to your local Netflix Twitter account and/or to the CBC Twitter account and let them know you’re looking forward to seeing more of Anne!
Spread enthusiasm! Having a loyal and enthusiastic fan-base is helpful to show grassroots support for a show. The fact that the show already has so much discussion, and fan-art and positive support is an encouraging sign. Using the (worldwide) #AnneWithAnE hashtag or the (Canadian) #AnneTheSeries hashtag are nice ways to show that fans are invested :)
Follow on socials! The series has accounts on Facebook and Twitter and Instagram in both Canadian and Worldwide versions. Sparing a Like or a Follow for these accounts helps show that fans are invested in the series.

Hopefully the show is already doing well enough to secure a second season. But the above steps can’t hurt! For those who want the show to continue, feel free to spread this around! Fingers crossed that we’ll get more stories in this lovely new adaptation <3
I know that you everyone who is following me has most likely already watched the series but please continue spreading the word! A second season would be amazing and we have to try to make that happen!
This incredible invention is keeping girls in school
For Trinitas Kunashe, like many girls in Malawi, getting her period was unexpected, unexplained and a burden for her everyday life. Often, girls who do not have access to pads prefer to stay home and out of school for the duration of their periods.
But Trinitas is changing that with her amazing new invention:
Made from bright and comfortable locally-sourced fabrics, Tina Pads are a hit amongst girls in her community. They are waterproof, practical and fun – and most importantly reusable.
Determined to make sure no girl is forced to miss school because of her period, Trinitas is a passionate believer in the power of education to change lives.

So someone outed me to my family and now I’m probably going to be homeless soon. No car, no furniture, my life is just really getting shittier. Luckily I have the option of killing myself and ending this shit today.
I literally don’t ever want to talk to a straight person ever again.

Gilbert Blythe + being a gentleman with Anne
Oh my heart
Ruby Gillis: Hey Anne, are you free on Friday? Like, around 8pm on Friday?
Anne Shirley: Yes?
Ruby Gillis: What about you, Gil?
Gilbert Blythe: Yeah, I am.
Ruby Gillis: Great! Because I’m not. You two go out without me. Enjoy your date!
Anne Shirley: Did she just-
[On a very hot day…]
Anne Shirley: You’re not sweating.
Josie Pye: Uh-huh.
Anne Shirley: How could you not be sweating?
Josie Pye: I don’t sweat.
Anne Shirley: Everybody sweats.
Jane Andrews: Not Josie.
Diana Barry: Josie never sweats.
Anne Shirley: What do you mean she never sweats?
Josie Pye: Sweating is gross, so I don’t do it.
Anne Shirley: So what? You’re just like…cold-blooded?
Gilbert Blythe [sarcastically]: Josie? Cold-blooded? What a surprise.
Marilla Cuthbert: Anne’s grown into quite the girl, though, hasn’t she? Thoughtful, well mannered.
Rachel Lynde: Reminds me so much of me at that age.
Marilla Cuthbert: You know I knew you at that age, right?
Scarlett: If I run and jump at Julie, she will almost definitely catch me.
Scarlett: *runs at Julie*
Julie: SCARLETT NO I'M HOLDING COFFEE-
Julie: *drops coffee to catch Scarlett*
The series I didn’t know I needed (with a lot of Gilbert Blythe ‘cause he’s pure and perfect, just love him).
What a treasure of a post, it has so may of my favourite scenes of the whole season in it!

I solemnly swear to be faithful to my bosom friend, Diana Barry, for as long as the sun and moon shall endure. And then she said it and put my name in. And then we sent our oath into the world.
You want to spell out a few words for old times sake? How about ‘truce’?
