If it is NOT a trafficking scam (still likely it is) then it is a Multi-Level Marketing/Pyramid Scheme. There are a lot of them that try to scam either teens or college students with “same day cash pay! Win prizes! Work your own hours!” etc. 

Avoid anything to do with these signs and if they mention Vector Marketing, Cutco, Aerogrow, Ambit, Xoom etc its a Multi-Level Marketing scam. 

Neither option is good so avoid it either way, warn others. They are especially prevalent on college campuses or around college housing!

“The mana would’ve only affected someone with a natural affinity for it. You don’t seem to have taken quite a jolt from it, so you might not’ve been naturally exposed to it in the atmosphere much at all, either.”

“There’s truth to that.”

“And part of what’s brought me here so spontaneously. I don’t know the extend of the practice of magick here yet, but I’m really hoping to learn and understand whatever I can here.”

“Dust. My world has no magick. Used to, but… it’s gone. Been gone for centuries. My company sent me to figure out how to fix that.”

Dust had to take a long, tense moment to process that. No magic. No magic at all in their world. The fox gave a slow blink, dipping once more at his cocoa in thought while he stared at the mouse. That was just a bit terrifying. Poor fox would probably end up having a gigantic withdrawal if he was pulled into a world without any magic in the atmosphere...

"Well... For starters, I'm sorry." He seemed genuinely about that, ears folding back gently as he sighed. "I can't even imagine a place like that. Secondly..." It'd probably be a good idea to explain something. "Magic comes from two main sources. Minerals that contain it in its purest, most condensed form have gone through weathering cycles that help distribute it along the soil and water. The atmosphere itself is from the second: Mana plants. They're abundant pretty much everywhere, and it's where we get consumable mana from. You know, the shot I put into our cocoa."

“Well. It seems you’re a magical being. It was a shot of pure condensed mana that we tend to take in our coffees and other caffeinated drinks to give us a perk up that doesn’t make us twitchy. Plus, caffeine’s a little unhealthy for me, I have to take it in small doses.”

“… Magickal being… I mean, I suppose that’s… possible? I don’t know any formal schools of magick though.”

“Then again, maybe it explains a lot… I don’t think I’ve ever partaken any consumable form of ethereal energy. That felt really weird.”

“Guess that means I can learn magick after all~”, Ark smoothly commented.
