once we move to a communist model of society we're gonna treat the stock market with the same incredulous mockery of the idea that it ever made any kind of sense that we show to like. the four humours
at the highest levels of capitalism the bourgeoisie invest capital not into infrastructure or automation, but into a glorified casino that is built on the imagined value of companies. if people think a company is worth a lot (by way of "promises" of doing well in the near future) it magically gets more valuable. it's so easily manipulated that insider trading has to be banned or else the whole system falls apart because it's based on superstition. people make more money doing this than all of us combined will ever see in a lifetime simply because they can afford a seat at the roulette table and guess which arbitrary number will go up in an economic model obsessed with making numbers go up. i feel embarrassed imagining the textbooks of the future trying to explain this like it makes any kind of sense having this be how the world works
getting approached by an animal that wants you to pet them is such a magical feeling. like they saw you and went "yeah there's love in there"
*tugs you around by our red string of fate like you’re a dog on a leash*
“I hate school I’m sorry Malala”- Funny yet poignant. Acknowledges both the difficulty of the task and the fact that doing that task is a privilege. Gives credit to the people who fought for that privilege with a tongue in cheek acknowledgement of the irony of the initial statement
“I’m just a girl I should be home baking bread not doing calculus” - at best historically uninformed at worst leaps decades back in time. Refusal to acknowledge the charged history of education and slights the centuries of women’s labor it took to reach this point

so overwhelmed by the love my little poem received, i wanna cry
