Yeah, you’re right. Change is inevitable but, people being afraid is inevitable too. But there is hope, those that are working for equality and all that. Bettering the relationships between supers and humans.

S’alright, I don’t mind. It’s an irritating topic- so to speak.

*nods* Maybe they wouldn't fear us if they gave us a chance? For every bad mutants there's hundreds of good; like normal people, y'know? I hope things get better soon.

It's just, they spend so much time saying that they want to make everyone feel valued and safe, but then they have anti-mutant protests, collect us and lock us up and run us out of our own homes.

Yeah, I know- We’re no different than anyone else, we have feelings and thoughts just like everyone else. I don’t like to consider myself different, just… gifted. It doesn’t make me any better than anyone but they don’t seem to realize that, we’re just like them. *sighs and sits down next to her, rubbing her arm in a comforting manner*

Exactly. *sighs and rests her head against his shoulder* We didn't ask to be mutants, it just happened. People don't seem to get that. Why can't they just give us a break for once?

Ahh, yeah that shit is messed up. It’s like gay marriage- kind of. There are people that accept and there are those that are afraid of change and what they believe in because it’s their shelter, their protection from the bad in this world. S’fucked up I admit and I certainly agree that they use heroes when they need them. Change is scary, especially for those that are too weak to stop it.

Change is frightening for everyone. Change is frightening for mutants when they first find out that they have abilities. Change is frightening when they have to come to terms with being what society calls a freak. Mutants are strong but we can't stop change, change is inevitable. 

I'm sorry, it's always been something that really annoys me.

*sighs* Yeah, me too Kit. I don’t understand it, I guess, they will never really accept anyone different from them.

But it's not like we are any different. Okay, we're mutants but most of us could never be identified as one unless we were using our gifts in plain sight. *turns back to the tv to see some of the protest footage*

Why are you mad?

Because I was watching the news and it was showing anti-mutant protests. People don't accept mutants but when they're in trouble they are quite happy to let us come in and fix everything for them...It's not like we chose to be mutants, it just happened.

*shuffles up and glances at the tv* What’s happened this time?

More anti-mutant protests. Things are getting worse Bobby; I thought things would get better in time, but they only like us when they need us.

Uhhh…  hungry? Are you… hungry maybe?

*sitting watching the news* I thought people would be past this by now...
