The Lonely Landscape A project taught by Rosy Nicholas.
A group project where we had 2 hours to create a fantastical couture outfit from nothing but plain paper and masking tape. Introducing Berty the Bat, Elder of the tribe ;)

My Nan.
Is 75 on Friday, my Mother is making her a scrap book.
I wrote a poem to go inside.
You probably wont understand it but it's personal and I am really happy with it.
She taught me when to wear pearls
With trousers for little girls
She taught me how to sew
Something all ladies should know
She set an example of grace
So I should know my place
A role model of life
A perfect Mother, Nan and Wife.
A Massive Thank You...

Ok so my day... has been long!
Awful photograph I know but I am too tired to care I will get a better one when I put the final painting up.
Today at the West End Center in Aldershot I put up my end of year exhibition. I re-painted my section of the wall because I felt it looked to run down and needed a coat of white paint to clean it up; it definitely made a dramatic difference and an improvement. I spent hours placing my work. I mounted and framed all my images via two canvases; they are all mounted with nails and blue-tack for extra support.
We all helped each other and shared equipment, it was a good experience as I have always feared doing an exhibition and putting it up on my own, but I wan't the only one and we helped each other through it and it has inspired me to want to do more; but let's see how the private view goes first.
For those of you local, the Private view is at The West End Center in Aldershot Hampshire on Wednesday the 30th May 2012 and will run from 7.30 until 9-9.30pm.
All artists, students, will be present and most work is for sale, all of mine is. I have not priced my work as if anyone is interested I am willing to barter with you!
If you can make it come, free snacks and drink and some new art!
