This 4th July won’t be the same, as will all others after it. What would normally be a day of celebrating the birth of our lord is now a day of remembrance.

May we take the time to remember the world’s greatest superhero: Homelander. May we take the time to appreciate all he did for us, how he fought day and night to keep our country and our people safe. How he never gave up, never surrendered, and was brutally killed by the Starlighters.

They will pay for their actions, mark my words friends. However, today is not a day for fighting. Today is a day where we keep our saviour in our thoughts and prayers. Today is a day for being thankful that we lived at the same time as Homelander. That we got to witness his greatness for as long as we did.

May he rest in peace. Gone but never forgotten. Forever in our hearts. Here’s to you Homelander. And happy birthday. 🥛🇺🇸

god just . hughie campbell and his utter inability to let anyone go . like despite the fact that he found happiness with annie he still very much remembers and grieves robin throughout all the seasons to the point of remembering her by naming his child after her . he wears the billy joel shirts because his mother , who left him , loved billy joel so much and it’s the one piece of her he has left . clinging to his dad to the point of being willing to give him compound v for his guilt of not picking up the phone when he called and relistening to the voicemails . the new electronics shop he opens being right next to a tony cicero’s ( intentionally or not ) where everything started with butcher and frenchie . he is haunted by everyone he’s loved !! he is literally made up of memories of everyone he’s ever loved

the framing of this room with all the kids stuff in it, him sitting on a bunkbed while the legend is talking to him, i think this is maybe the only time he ever felt like he had anything at all resembling a father-son conversation, at least one that made him feel something other than pain. it was only for a few minutes but, i’m glad he got to experience it
