Everything is different now

Everything is different now. Everything feels like there is a missing piece. Each time I look at the sea I imagine it's your eyes who can see it again. Each time I look at your grandson I can't accept you won't hold his hand again. Every place and every corner of every place, echoes the last time you were there with me. Every day you are away is one more day my heart breaks.

I made this cake the night before my wee boy’s first birthday, it was a 6 hour bake from start to finish and a labour of love. Thankfully it turned out great and also tasted yummy!
