Sophie Morgan created an amazing manual wheelchair user mannequin for Primark and it made me realize there is something I have yet to share:

Along with authentic wheelchair user representation being incredibly sparce, authentic plus size wheelchair user representation is still even rarer.

I was born disabled and I grew up plus size. I grew up the only plus size wheelchair user I knew. Thankfully 2 to 3 has been added to that count but that's not enough.

We exist. We deserve to be seen. We deserve to be celebrated.

I grew up insecure and ashamed of my body because society told me being plus size was not okay. Also being a wheelchair user? Absolutely not.

Unthinkable even to this day. Except...not.

I'm so beautiful. WE are so beautiful.
