So I've been dating a guy for two months.
First date: Chinese Restaurant and Ollie's
Second date: arcade, walk around domain and Korean for food
Third date: dinner?
Fourth date: Armageddon
Fifth date: sunrise and breaky

2023
2023 was a year of healing and self reflection. I had to take time off dating to heal from 2022. It changed me, the year changed me. I was damaged, I was hurt. But I focused on me and my friendships
so much has happened since I was last here.
So 2021,
ā¢ Jan - was a slow month nothing much happening.
ā¢ Feb - got a new job. Going well at first.
ā¢ March - Nothin much happened here.
ā¢ April - moved into our own place. It was perfect for us. Got lots of free stuff for the flat.
ā¢May/June - just stayed in, had friends over and enjoyed our time.
ā¢ July - Dad was diagnosed with Cancer after an operation for something else.
ā¢ August - Dad is really sick, has sepsis
ā¢ September/Oct - trying to stay afloat. We are living paycheck to paycheck and barely surviving. Changed jobs. Nephew died.
ā¢ Nov - Dad is diagnosed as terminal. He only has a few months to live.
ā¢ Dec - Pack up entire flat, get rid of all furniture and move back in with exes mum. I fly home and spend a week in MIQ
2021 was crazy.
2022
Jan - Got to spend time with Dad, got a job
Feb - Dad died. Started my new job.
Mar - Relationship break up
April - just a boring month
May - try get back out in the dating scene. Nothing works out.
June - starting to feel a lot of emotions
July - the darkest month I felt worse but survived
August - niece died
September - started dating again. Really liked him
October - started really liking this guy. Everything I wanted. He liked to travel
November - just a normal month
December - guy I was dating decides to tell me he was using me and wasn't actually interested in me. Got covid
2022 was a year Im glad is over. Never want to go back again
So you're nearly 30 or you have just turned 30.
30 isn't old. 30 isnt the end. 30 isnt where you just sit down and give up on having fun.
ā You can still go out and drink cocktails/wine at a fancy bar/restaurant with your friends
āyou can still fall in love and feel giddy inside
ā you can still travel abroad
ā you can still make new friends and make new memories.
ā you can still get dressed up and go on dates or go out with your friends. You're allowed to look beautiful and feel beautiful.
ā you're allowed to laugh loudly and smell the Rose's and have photo shoots with your friends/partner/dog/cat.
ā you're allowed to make mistakes (hopefully not the same as in your 20s)
āyou're allowed to change career or start a new business venture.
At 30, you should feel more confident, happier than in your 20s. You dont have to stop living your life and you should stop calling yourself old. You're better than that.
We are not supermarket items with a use by date, the use by date is only used when you're dead. Yes you may have achy joints and a few grey hairs but you have a story to tell. You have more wisdom. Live your life, dont stop. Start to knit. Start a book. Just dont lie down and let life pass you by coz you're now deemed "old" get that out of your head. Embrace your age.
2020 hasnāt been the best year. Full of ups and downs. These are the best things to happen to me.
Jan - quit my job
Feb - travelled to New Zealand to visit fam and see Elton John live.
March - moved in with my boyfriend of 7 months before lockdown hit.
April - got to know my boyfriend better in lockdown
May - started a new job
June - made new friends and got to go out more
July - more freedom to go out and do stuff
August - my birthday so got to spend it with my man. Also go rid of toxic friendships.
September - job finished, brought a car.
October - started a new job that is completely different from nannying
November - busy month at work, doing well. Boyfriends birthday. Nice and quiet in lockdown
December - got wonderful presents from the boyfriends family and I get a few days off work to recover from the craziness leading up to Christmas.
Now I havenāt been able to travel, to New Zealand yes but around the other parts of the world no. I have gone a bit stir crazy not being able to travel and I know people have gone through a lot worse this year. Hereās to 2021.
Wow so much has happened since my last post.
2019
May- returned back to London, met up with a friend. Went to parties.
June- started dating a really lovely guy.
July - we are now official
Also July - travel around Europe again.
So yeah
So my next trip to the UK is happening in May. Letās do this.
2019 so far
January recap - sent my book off to a few publishers, started singing lessons, started my own business and already scored a job interview for a travel company. #winning
Update: I am now working for a travel company as a travel broker. Excited for this year. Gonna be amazing :)

This was in Norway where I experienced snow for the first time.
So, Iām back in NZ!! Was only going to come back for a few weeks but landed a good job. Itās 3 days a week so canāt complain and the family is amazing. Iām saving up for a road trip across America.
I canāt wait and Iāve nearly finished my book.
