night bloom | Byakuya and Gin
There was something about that new presence that was unlike that of normal humans. The obvious fact that he was standing on the roof of his high building and that his dressing was anything but typical of what Gintoki had seen of the city aside, there was something on a less physically perceivable level that distinguished him from any human. Something more akin to the state that Gintoki himself was in right now.
A servant.
Sitting up, he looked the newcomer in the eye, pinky still obstinately stuck up his nose.
"Oi, oi. Whatâs it to you, huh?"
"... Is it your intention to be so crude?"
Such a casual manner of speech was something, unfortunately, he was going to have to become accustomed to; this time simply wasn't as respectful as he'd like.
Not that it made the stranger's actions any more excusable; it was one thing to have a habit, but to continue to act in that manner in front of another? Turning away - if such insolence was to occur, at least he could avoid looking at it - his gaze would roam over the city. If information wasn't so valuable, this entire incident would be ignorable, but it was far too desirable to let an encounter with another servant slip.
" Never mind. It is irrelevant, compared why you're here, isn't it? I'd have hardly thought a city of this size to be a suitable location for this. "
