falling for you (literally) // joohyuk + @icedstrwbrry
they say some accidents are meant to happen.
this one, unfortunately, could have easily been avoided if: 1) joohyuk did not get distracted by the ethereal beauty that is han seorin when she's making breakfast in her pyjamas and left home 10 minutes earlier; 2) joohyuk decided to take the elevator down instead of opting for the rush down the stairs to "wake his legs up"; and 3) joohyuk only looked at where he was going, walking and descending.
instead of the damned steps, he'd glanced up from them when he reached the second floor upon noticing yubin at the first. his first instinct was to yell her name to get her attention, but before he could even open his mouth, his foot ended up landing on an imaginary step, causing him to immediately lose balance, take momentary flight, and tumble down the flight of stairs, a yelp escaping him with every hit his shoulders took against the hard concrete and metal rails.
joohyuk announces his arrival to his destination painfully dramatically, with a loud groan accompanying the thud of his back on the ground. the sun peeks from behind the clouds and hits him directly in the eye with its gleam, almost like it's mocking his morning and eager to add to his misery. the man pitifully shields his gaze with the back of his hand before pleading to the figure approaching him, the same person he intended to call out to from where he earlier stood:
"noona. if it just so happens that you're not in a rush... can you help me up from the floor of shame before anyone else sees me like this and takes my picture?"
