Some years ago I had ambitions to make a stop-motion music video for the “Erase” contest, but when it became apparent I would not have the time/money to make the video I wanted I abandoned the project. The other day I rewatched this rough version I had started in Flash meant to help plot the action…I wish I had at least kept going with the sloppy one because I kinda like it. The poetry workshop at a local community art space, Milkweed in Sugar Loaf, NY, will be publishing a poetry journal in August. They accepted my poem Checkerboard Goddess, a reflection on experiences/images/memories in Boston.

I made this short video for Amaze.org about gender identity. I deeply appreciated the opportunity to tell something for this age demographic (10-14 year olds) with more nuance on the subject than most similar material has. I hope you’ll appreciate it and share it with someone who either a) could use the reassurance they’re not alone/a weirdo or b) could learn to open their heart a little.
