I don't want to make this A Whole Thing but like... I think it's also important to keep in mind whether or not it was planned & cut down or never on the table to begin with, that doesn't address how show runners like LM & JDS were like... encouraging it as if it ever had a chance. which imo is pretty bad form. official voltron's been using the klance tag for official stuff for ages & it vibes as just a way for them to get hits.

yeah i def feel that they use klance to keep the viewers from leaving, its shitty but not uncommon for shows :/

College campuses are a cesspool of awkward encounters. Some more unnerving than others, as Lance comes to find. He thinks it's important to note that in all those instances, Keith is there to witness them. Actually, that's unfair. Admittedly Keith happens be useful in getting him out of those situations. Affection, as it goes, grows stronger when you're constantly being "saved" by a protective rival – but mostly friend at this point.

Or 5 times Keith helped Lance out of a situation and the 1 time Lance tried to pay back the saves.

If anything, Keith thinks, Lance had proven that while finding the lions might have been on the dime of some greater plan, compliance to their supposed fate was not strictly required in any remote sense of the word.

In fact, by Lance’s standard of doing things it was all rather bullshit.
