“Friend of a friend needs a place to stay” AND “We hate each other but we both have a mutual friend so we have to put up with each other AU”
“Why are you parked on my couch, taking advantage of my cable and eating my cheetos?” She growled, snatching them from his greedy grasp.
Work had been bad enough but coming back to her apartment and finding this idiot, albeit gorgeous, stretched out on her sofa was messing with her usually well-kept composure.
“Enzo said I could crash and last time I checked you agreed, love.”
“That was before you ate my cheetos and called me that,” she hissed. “And don’t even get me started on your television choices.”
“What’s your problem with The Gilmore Girls exactly? Let me guess you’re a Jess fan?”
“Logan, huh?” He smirked causing a few, unfamiliar flutters. “I think we might become good friends yet.”
Klaus Mikaelson reminded her too much of Logan which wasn’t helping matters. She swore they both had the same, signature smirk when they were trying to be cute.
“We are not becoming anything because you won’t be living here for that long, thankfully.”
“But if I’m not here, who’s going to eat your Cheetos instead?” If she wasn’t infuriated enough, he had to go and flash a stray dimple in her direction.
Where the hell did that come from?
“Maybe the person who bought them? Why can’t you go and mooch off someone else?”
“It’s like I never left,” Enzo whistled, interrupting their argument. “This morning it was about the toilet seat position and now we’re fighting about an overrated, savory snack?”
“They are not overrated!” They both replied in unison, their attention now squarely on him.
“Would you look at that,” he drawled. “Seems like you two might just have something in common, even down to those girlie shows you watch.” He gestured to the television screen where Rory and Lorelai were drinking coffee. Again.
“Wow, you two read minds just like a real couple and, just so you know, she’s a huge Logan fan. I made the mistake of getting on the Jess bandwagon and she hasn’t let me forget it since.”
“I thought she might be,” he smirked.
“I’m going to take a shower,” Caroline growled, choosing to ignore his last comment.
“Only if it’s a cold one,” Klaus called out to her retreating back.
“You wish,” she scoffed thinking he was just that full of himself while spinning around to another smirk. It’s like he did it for a living or something.
“No, I mean there’s no hot water left, I used the last of it earlier.”
“Unbelievable,” Caroline rolled her eyes thinking Enzo was no longer the worst roommate ever, the guy parked on her couch and eating her Cheetos was.
“Klaus, get out!” Caroline squealed, attempting to hold up her towel and shut the door in his face at the same time.
Although he was pretty much half asleep, which is how he found himself stumbling blindly into the bathroom, he wasn’t for much longer seeing Caroline barely clothed. His eyes were suddenly on autopilot, roaming the length of her creamy neck towards the swell of her breasts peeking out teasingly from her towel.
Klaus knew she was beautiful, even when she was angry, but from this vantage point she was exquisite. Well, until the door slammed in his face. It was fair enough but he was still a little upset.
Klaus Mikaelson didn’t do relationships, he didn’t do commitment and that suited him just fine. Moving into Enzo’s place was supposed to be temporary.
That was until he met her.
