LEFT ) The Blossom of Youth, created in 1898 by the Polish artist Władysław Czachórski. RIGHT ) Lady in a Lilac Dress with Flowers (For Him), created in 1903 by the Polish artist Władysław Czachórski.
Not my typical post, but upon reviewing a handful of Czachórski's works I thought I'd offer some brief thoughts.
I shared the 'Lady in a Lilac Dress with Flowers (For Him)' just yesterday and so I was rather struck by its similarity to 'The Blossom of Youth' which I came across today. Considering that 'The Blossom of Youth' was completed five years prior, my first thoughts were that perhaps the 'Lady in a Lilac Dress' was a reattempt by Czachórski at his elder piece as the latter looks significantly more modern in comparison. Unfortunately, I am yet to find any published comments on these two pieces and their likeness.
I'd appreciate if a second opinion could be offered or further information on the two paintings. 🫶🏻
